Everyone who is not getting Medicare or Tricare is just one step from having no insurance. You loose your job, you loose your insurance. If you think COBRA will help, can you afford $800.00 a month? This is critical so Americans can be healthy.

America should care for all of its citizens

We need to do something because the price of Healthcare is out of hand and Medicare is going broke. I think there are better ways to fix this problem then what has been proposed by Obama. Let's deal with illegal immigration (stop automatic citizenship for infants of illegal immigrants), get people back working, get people off of welfare, go after the deadbeat dads, etc. Lets work on ways so most of the citizens can afford to pay for their own healthcare, stand on their own two feet, rather then depending on others to take care of them. We should only be helping those that truly can not help themselves.

This is the U.S. and we should act like i,t is, can we really care about people in other countries if we don*t even care about the people in ours.

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, my dad, lost his job TWO DAYS LATER. And guess what, they HAD to go on cobra so my mom could survive. and guess what. They paid it,*gasp* paying your own way seems so uncool nowadays

where was obama for them???
