I trust President Obama, and I know that he is in the White House trying to make this a better nation for all Americans. All one has to do is look at the people who are opposing him to know that he is doing the right thing.

I voted for Obama .

If you live in Miami home of mostly useless ,self serving Cuban politicians who have NO CONCEPT of fighting for the average citizens than Obama might be our best bet because health care here is the highest in the nation and only getting higher.

http://www.miaminewtimes.com/related/to/Payin...

"Miami Family Health Care Costs Highest in the Nation
You better get a free lollypop for that price. According to the Millman Index, the average total medical costs for a family of four rose 7.4% in the past year to $16,771. Miami has the heaviest costs in the entire country, with an average of $20,280. That costs includes employer contributions, deductibles, and co-pays. Americans pay about 15.2% of the GDP on health care annually, the highest rate of any nation in the world except for the Marshall Islands. Some predict that rate to climb to 19.5%
May 18, 2009"

I don't agree with everything he has done like wall st bail out only to have them continue as usual .

However I rather have Pres Obama do something about Health care before we pay $10 for an aspirin here in Miami because the incumbents here couldnt give a damn.

Whats funny is that the same people in Miami who go to a tea party in Broward . Have no problem with our money to be used for a PRIVATE corporation baseball stadium at the sum of 2.4 billion dollars (as of now).

or city commissioner, other assorted politicians using hundreds of thousands of our dollars for private chauffers while making social cut backs.

health care is not the responsibility of the gov't. what are these little boys/girls in the present admin going to tell JESUS on Judgement Day?

when they get done with their evil deeds it will bring disaster to America, or what's left of it.

Lol the real question would be . What are bible thumping hypocrites like yourself going to tell Jesus as you deprived poor and uninsured of health care ?.

Jesus was a liberal .He wasn't an American bible thumping full of hate fascist.

America's bible thumpers are as far removed from Jesus as the Taliban is to Allah/God.

What most people don't know about "manditory" health insurance, just a small detail of Obama's health care plan is this:
Manditory means by law you must purchase health insurance. Obama plans to set up an exchange where person can shop for a plan that suits them. Anyone who doesn't have insurance will be required by law to purchase it. Qualified low income persons or families can get Gov't help to pay thier premiums.
This is how Massachusetts set up their "manditory health" plan.
The individual mandate is a requirement that all Massachusetts residents over the age of 18, for whom available health insurance is affordable, obtain and maintain health insurance that meets minimum coverage requirements beginning July 1, 2007.
Individuals who cannot show proof of health insurance coverage by Dec. 31, 2007, will lose their personal income tax exemption when filing their 2007 income taxes. Also, failure to meet the requirement in 2008 will result in a fine for each month the individual does not have coverage.
This is one major point that proponents don't want the general public to know about.
In Massachusetts, a family of 4 with 2 working adults, making about 50k a year, is paying about $350.00 a month for minimum coverage requirements.
Is this what we want? You think the economy can withstand this? The above family could barely make ends meet as it is on 50k a year.

That is the last plan they are talking about put on the table but the grossly inept Senator Baucus. A Dem who makes idiots look smart.

I emailed Florida Dem senator to say "NO" to that plan or I will be voting against them.

I voted for Pres Obama but that horrible plan that disaster .I do not support. The only one to benefit there are insurance companies.

I emailed White house while ago with suggestions.

I imagine countless have also but corporate special interest money is hard to fight. I suggested to Pres that a horrible plan is unacceptable.

I support real health care coverage for those who do not have it and if we left the 2 no end in sight, corrupt ,financial abyss called Iraq and Afghanistan we would have the money.

I am a Dem but not a party line zombie thus won't support any garbage plan or support politicians like Miami's disaster Dem Raul Martinez when he ran against Diaz Balart (didn't vote for either).

However I do think we must do something but do it correctly not the current plan which as is doesn't look like it will pass and shouldn't.

I do think Olympia Snow might be leaving the Rep party soon or at least voting with Dems if a good plan is put on the table (this current plan is not).

It is due to people like that the GOP bible zealot full of it base which I could never vote Rep.
Worse case if I do not like the Dem candidate. I vote Independent or do not vote (which is rare and have only done this here in Miami when it was Cuban crap vs Cuban crap)but voting Rep due to the base fanatics is out of the question.

Don't try talking sense to those who don't care to hear it.

We are dealing with a group who decided before he became president to 'stand up' against anything he stands for EVEN IF it makes sense.

No, Obama says it himself. His plan will require persons with out insurance to purchase it through his exchange. Much like people have to have car insurance, Americans will be required to have health insurance. He just wants people to think it will be totally free to all people who don't have insurance.

See for yourself, skip to 2:13 in this video of the joint session of congress address a few weeks ago.

Your first mistake was being gulible and not looking into the facts. he had exactly 184 days of political experience in the Senate. Why do you think he protects ACORN and all the other off shoots of it. He has gotten millions from these shams. Explain how he can purchase a home and get a 1.3 million dollar mortage as a Community Organizer without some Chicago Style Muscle

You don't get NOTHING for NOTHING.

Mandatory health insurance means you work for it. Sure, sure, it's an insurance policy, but they aren't losing any money on this. The little piece Medicare takes out of your paycheck will seem like a speck when the national healthcare asteroid hits the planet.

The only way the Obamachine could sell this is by making it an ENTITLEMENT meaning "Attention my fellow tax-paying Americans, it is now your RIGHT to have to pay into this system."

Sound a little like double-talk?

we can pay trillionS in 2 wars and one based on lies than we can insure our uninsured. After all they are human beings not animals.

I do agree with many here and you that the current idea is flawed . I think he has settled due to Rep resistance which is a mistake .

Best thing we could do is leave Iraq/Afghanistan start using the money here.

I actually emailed White House with health care ideas, etc .
I voted for Pres Obama and like others here who "got out the vote" got letters from him (form letters lol).

I would run for office myself here as have ideas but since Cuban I don't trust myself (not after seeing what "our" politicians do in Miami ).
