too much government control. Increase competition among private insurers. Allow insurance to cross state lines.

Obama is crazy and bit off more than he can chew. He is way above his head in every aspect of this position.

Does anyone care that people are dying for lack of insurance. Its seems to me when it does not affect you personly, you fail to care that 4000 people are dying everyday for lack of insurance and that is just despairing.

Yes, ej, I do care- I don't have insurance either, but because the insurance company kept raising the rates on my husband, we had to drop them too. So now neither of us have it. We are both self employed, so we cannot enjoy the luxury of group insurance. That being said, I still understand the impact of forced, government run insurance on us and everyone else. If we could afford it right now, we would get it. We are not stupid enough not to want it, we just happen to think that food and shelter come first. What will the penalty be for not getting it with this new plan? Jail? Fines? That's the answer, because that will certainly make it affordable after that ordeal. We don't need more forced rules on how to budget our money, just more affordable insurance. Doctors have forgotten why they are in that line of work, pharmeceutical companies don't want to cut into their astronomical profit, and insurance companies' higher ups like their luxury cars and houses, so what's your plan? I say we all get Cpr certified or our nursing degree and start helping each other. Seems like the nurses are the ones doing the work these days anyway. Happy Halloween, Trick or Treat- that's what you seem to get now, usually a trick!

No socialized medical programs. We are so very far in deficit spending, I swear we can not handle more federal debt. As of right now,if we were able to pay 100 mil.dollars per day to bring down the debt load it would take over 3000 years at that rate. Folks, we are going over the cliff with the Democrates driving. Why don't they get it>

Too many middle class, and working families can't afford health care in Texas. This is not right in the USA.

Health Insurance companies are ripping off good people and this not what the US should model...

Why is the U.S one of the only industrialized countries without universal healthcare? Do you really want the insurance companies making money off of your poor health?

The only competition that has been created by the private insurers is who is going to profit more from you getting sick? When a FOR PROFIT company is determining what they will/will not cover and makes a profit on everything that they deny....think about it. Almost every country that has universal healthcare, which is almost all of the other industrialized countries, the actually reduced costs. Don't let the Private Insurers lobbyists twist the facts and only say that your taxes will be raised.

We are so far in debt because the Republicans cared so much about getting us into conflicts where we don't belong instead of taking care of our own people. If you look at socialized medicine every where else in the world, you'll see that costs actually came down. Maybe if we didn't spend trillions of dollars on a "terrorist" war that can NEVER be won and spent it on Americans, we wouldn't be in so much debt.

Daily Horoscope for November 24

Libra

The reactive Moon travels through your sixth house of health and service, placing an emphasis on the way you feel and the work you do. You may be under quite a bit of pressure as psychic Neptune combines with the Moon to create a mysterious tone to the day; it will seem as though everything is in a fog. Tell the world to chill out and maintain a pace that is comfortable for you.
