Attack the problem (medical tort reform), not the "symptom" (insurance).

Tort reform is a part of the problem but the insurance companies are a major part of the problem. Speaking from experience, these companies have depts whose sole job it is to find a way to deny any and all claims. Failing in too many cases in this area, they work constantly to re-write the policy language to support more claim denials. On the premium side and application side, they will not issue a policy unless you have no health problems or they surcharge the premium beyond the ability of the applicant to pay. They will increase the premiums to drive out those who use the benefits. When you the claim that their profit margins are only 3%, that is a joke because of the outrageous benefits, salaries, bonuses and palaces they build to house the staff and on and on. they can shoow 0% profit and still live like kings.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Pisces

You're thinking along very inventive lines today, which is brilliant if you're trying to decide what you want to achieve in 2010. Get out a notebook or diary and start jotting down your ideas, so there's no danger of forgetting them. Discussing some of your plans with someone you respect could lead to even more brainwaves, and will assure you of their moral and emotional support.
