A man from LC worked in the coal mines for 30 yrs m/l . The mine shut down.He was close to 50 yrs old. He got sick w/cancer and no longer had insurance to cover the treatments needed to save his life. He wan't old enogh for medicare and not poor enough for medicaid. He died when he should have had a choice to have affordable insurance.

I believe that they should do it! There is not enough money I agree, but I think that if they pass it , and make it stick , that they should cut some other funding to help pay for it. The war in Iraq is un neccessary. They told us at first that " They were a threat to All countries because Iraq had weapons of mass destruction " , then when they could not find weapons they simple changed the reason and said it was because " We were freeing the Iraqi People" so they renamed the whole operation to "Operation Iraqi Freedom " So they should stop the war in Iraq, cut spending , tax people who make 500,000 dollars or more per year extra, and cut some other spending, and they should be able to pay for it.
I believe that they should spend more money on the American People and not other countries. I believe that the overhaul of the Healthcare system would boost the economy and put more money in the American people's pockets. Plain and simple.

If people would educate themselves about the healthcare plan they too would support it, but instead many people listen to these right wing radicals who do nothing but make trouble and care nothing about people who are living without insurance. Most of those opposing the plan don't even know what the plan says or what it plans to do for folks in this country who suffer from lack of medical care.

I agree Gwen. Society is getting so lazy that the people will believe anything they are told and allow others to think for them. I appreciate the truth. I voted George both (O now)and believed any and everything they said no matter how uncredible it was. We need this care badly(Shame on Boucher)I hear stories daily about the cost of healthcare costing people their lives, homes, cars, respect, and self esteem. Bad health leads to missed work days, less $ to live on and it only gets worse,
I have yet to hear someone uninsured brag on how good no insurance works when they are sick or injured. We are to care for our brothers and sisters and health ins and adequate care is a basic need for all.

We can afford it! It is time to leave Iraq. We should not have been there anyway! Bush lied to the American troops and told them Saddam had weapons of mass destruction! There were no weapons!:(
So then they renamed it to, Operation Iraqi Freedom and changed the whole purpose of the war! They said that instead of looking for weapons of mass destruction, we were freeing the Iraqi people! Was over 4,000 American soldiers lives, worth Saddam and his 2 sons? No!
Iraq is now secure! They have over 200,000 security forces, Their Own Military, Own government that does not want us there! The violence is there ONLY because WE ARE THERE!
We should leave Iraq and that will help with the Health care funding!
Another thing, is that so many people who are in the Middle Class range , say that they are against health care! They are wrong! Because they should be for it! The health Care bill benefits the Lower/Middle Class! Many people in Lee County think that they are High Class, but in reality, they are only still in the Middle Class range.
Taxes will be raised on people who make over 500,000 dollars or more per year. This will help pay for it! And I believe that people who make more money, should have to pay more taxes. Call it socialism if you want to ! It is how our country works, and what it is today!
Anyone who would be against a bill, that would benefit EVERY PERSON in LEE COUNTY, and most American's are UnAmerican! Simply Said. Anyone in Lee County who would say they are against the bill are Crazy! Because the bill would benefit THEM!

I believe the bill will be passed.

Republicans have used a term called "Scare Tactic" to try to scare the American people into voting for them. They used it for the War In Iraq. They told the people that they had Weapons Of Mass Destruction. They also used it when Bush needed to be re elected! Bush told the American people that if we did not vote him back in, NO ONE could finish the MESS HE STARTED! He said that!

Well, Republicans are trying to use the scare tactic that always worked for them in the past, to try to scare Americans with the Health Care Bill!
They Told us that, IF IT IS PASSED, that OLDER PEOPLE WHO ARE SICK, IF THEY NEEDED HEALTH CARE, THAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL JUST LET THEM DIE! haha
Don't believe the scare tactic's folks!
Health care in America is a good thing :)
It benefits EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN LEE COUNTY!
