Health Care Debate - Huntington Beach, CA

Obamacare punishes small business and enlarges an already bloated government and deficit.

Tired of insurance conglomerates dictating the care I get based on some profit margin they want to maintain for the board members. My doctor should determine the care I get, and treat me effectively and sensibly.

The government can't even run a decent DMV or prevent bankrupting our entire state, how can they run Health Car, city employees suck and have bad attitudes and are rude too!

There is nothing the government can do that can be as bad as the health industry being run by Insurance companies at present.

This will create more debt to the country and would not help the poor at all. Gov wants to control the people more and more. This reform is a B.S. What we need is a tort reform where people cannot sue people to make a living.

I agree with the commets on here im 52 and dont have health at all my husband cant afford it from his company.and it sure wont help the econmony the way it is now.and i need insurance my whole family needs it but were do i go?i live in oklahomacity.

I got a kick out of the opening paragraphs that name the bill "Affordable Healthcare" and state it's purpose as "To insure the first time homebuyers credit for military and federal employees" That pretty much sums up the intelligence of these people up there

That's not reform ! It's making things infinitely worse. We need to open state borders to all ins. co. to lower prices. No special deals for unions and drugmakers!!!
This whole thing smells of graft and corruption...

They already run VA Hospitals,Soc. security,Medicare,medicaid,sch ools,etc....We are the goverment and when illiterate get educated they realise that what's going on is not "goverment" problem but those who got elected by YOU ,the people,and who got paid by corporations,and who are not capable of running the budget,or do anything contadicting big bussines.
I want my taxes to be used for paying for the services every citizen should have,especially USA citizen,like free health care so we can all be productive and not worry that we'll end up on the street when hospital bill is not covered by criminals in health ins. comp.Obama is trying to do what majority of us voted him in office to do.The blaim is on limp democrats who don't push for what is right and tell republicans to screw themselves.They lost all credibillity in the last 8 years and now it's you,people,who don't vote them out and let this country goes to crap.If this continues we'll be all running the border to Canada or Mexico to doctors,dentist and pharmacies.Oh,wait...we are already doing that.

We should turn all our Government over to private business, Like Enron, AIG, pick a bank, how bout a car manufacturer?

You are exactly right!While some call this" so called healthcare reform" socialism,that is being kind.When you marry corporations to the guns of the government,that is properly called fascism.Whatever their" intent" or flowery labels "for the greater good","for the chlidren"the end result is the same,less freedom,less choices.If the corporations in conjunction with the federal government can force you to buy any PRIVATE product with no opt out ,you are basically their property,dependent or slave.This has NEVER been done in the US before that historic moment when Pelosi marched in,{Looking like a Wizard of OZ character},and said "SO it is written and so it shall be".If this is allowed to stand there is NO LIMIT on the Powers of the federal government.For the grammar police I admit in advance I am not a writer,just a thinker. Corporations in and of themselves are not evil.They have in the past brought prosperity to our nation.They have of late been trampling small business with their srtong hold on washington.Both Washington and huge corporations need to be reigned in by we the consumers and we the electors.

Give the law a chance. March saw the largest job increase in 3 years, now remember we were loosing 700,000 jobs a month when King George left office.
