I support Health care reform b/c I am disabled and Medicare is corrupt and sucks.

I am having a hard time finding Docs that will accept Medicare as well. Specialists are increasingly dropping Medicare from their roster of insurance plans they accept. I don't think Americans will end up paying MORE in the long run, not if we can get PREVENTIVE medicine on board, as well as alternative/complementary. I am SICK to death of Docs handing out Prescriptions instead of trying other measures (but that takes their TIME, and they cannot afford to spend a lot of time on Medicare patients, just a fact! Been there, done that, bought the T-Shirt and talked about it on Oprah! Peace out.

The expense is crazy. The help it gives are mostly to lazy people who don't want to work.

the government, running on tax income and not for profit, is highly inefficient. I dont want to pay any more taxes, knowing its poorly spent and often wasted. I am a retired govt worker. I dont live in Hilsboro, but Madras

The government should evaluate and fix the current systems in place before implementing more government intervention. People should check out other health care options. Corporations offer High deductible health care with a Health Savings Account (HSA). Although this insurance sounds unaffordable, it is almost always less expensive than a low deductible plan in the long run. The plan uses tax free dollars and the employer often pays half or more of the money put into the HSA, so it makes it very affordable. If you don't go to the doctor frequently, the money stays in the account and accrues interest. You can pull from this account to cover premiums or well checks etc. Check it out!
