First of all, they said that they would not give illegal immigrants the government option, but that they would receive health care at a hospital. That they would not be turned away. There is quite a difference.

He did not say that the money would go to abortions at all. In fact, in President Obama's speech he said that this option would not necessary take care of abortions. Part of the reason is that it stems from the fact that he does not want to upset people that believe abortion is wrong in his party so he can get the bill similar to his goals passed.

Finally, if the government were to set their health care coverage OPTION it means that private business would have to compete with the government's public option price. Most people if they get the chance go with a cheaper option. With the government's idea of making health care affordable to those in the middle class; he gets those that pay for a similar coverage at a higher price to get one that is affordable to them. Businesses would then in need to get back their customers would have to lower their prices. If you have a lower profit margin, but more customers in the end the profit will return due to more people that can afford health care.

Now, red tape will be in bureaucracy no matter what you do. Private health care options already have that. Most doctors in the state of CALIFORNIA can't even get health care companies to pay their clients' insurance bills on time.

Oh, just to let you know. You should do some research on those ads that are trying to destroy Obama's push for medical reform. Those are made to distract people from the real problem in the health care debate. Obama was not lying that this has been a problem that has been tried to have been addressed all the way back since Teddy Roosevelt was president.

It wouldn't hurt those that run these health care companies to bring the price down. The problem is: greed. If you've ever known what it's like to be greedy then you know why people won't drop prices. If any of you think that the system is working, then you have not listened to the debate seriously.

Look, this president from the beginning of the campaign has wanted to bring the parties together.

Health care is not a partisan issue. It is a human issue. I do not attack you, and with that chance taken you call me words that are uncalled for.

Let me ask you this, did you know that there is more than 1 bill floating around both sides of Congress right now? If that is the case, how can I read that 1 bill you speak of. CNN did not tell me that there was more than one bill. President Obama said that there were 5 bills floating around in Congress being looked upon. President Obama also stated that he would take an entire 4 years in order to get this done. He is trying to get this to be perfect, not shoddily done.

For someone who preaches knowledge of politics: you certainly "no" what you are talking about.

90% of californias problems can be traced to illegal mexicans. Maybe that's not politically correct, but it's true

I believe the greedy over compensated public employees, and their unions, all of them, teachers, cops, fire, caltrans, prison guards, DMV and fat county workers driving around in the little white cars are available to share the blame with the illegal mexicans.
Also the state legislature’s business destroying taxes and over regulation.
Do not forget the environmental whacks.
When it come right down to it all of the above should be jailed for aiding and abetting the for mentioned illegal mexicans.
Political correctness dictates these issues be ignored.
Until these issues are addressed, how can we trust the politicians.
Two things the politicians could do if they really wanted reform health care afordable with out killing the taxpayer and our children:
1 tort reform
2 interstate provider competion

Until then no on Obama care.

More foreign leaders and more foreign people think it was smarter and more mature for us to vote for Obama.

They have been telling people about the new health care bill they want to pass. Part of the problem is, not everyone will see eye to eye. Obama can't know what the health care plan is until it continues through the committee because even those in the committees don't know what it is yet. The House and Senate both have to pass IDENTICAL BILLS and then it goes to the President for him to sign IF it becomes law. He won't know unless he asks beforehand and that does not mean it will.

You already have private health care. That is the interstate provider competition, because every state does not have the same private health care providers.

So not only are you wrong on both counts, Arnold, but you also do need to learn how to spell. If you want to talk about the problem then stop blaming people. The blame isn't important with the economy the way it is, but it is the problem we all need to fix. If anything, you are the problem because you blame everyone instead of doing anything to fix it. That is the bigger problem.

Ignorance is bliss.

I agree that we need remorm, I disagree that the government is the right answer. Lets get tort reform and limit the punitive damages that one can collect. Instead of paying out $50 millions for punitive damages on class action suits wich the lawers get most of the money. Lets limit to $2 millon and have the plainiff get the money. Get government bussiness out the health care. Let insurance companies sell their products acroos state lines. Make people shop for the insurance that they need and can afford. Also make companies accept preexisting condictions. If these measures were taken rates would come down and people could afford health care. When you let someone else make decisions for you then you give the power to deceide for yourself.

Who cares what YOUR foreign leaders think. Who cares if our representatives do not read the bill.
Who cares if subsidized government care kills another industry.
You are naive and I do agree with you, your ignorance is bliss.

IT IS NOT UNDERSTOOD THAT POOR PEOPLE DO NOT GET PAID ENOUGH TO PAY FOR MEDICAL INS. WE ALSO NEED GOOD DOCTORS. DOCTORS NOW DAYS ARE MILKING THE INSURANCE COMPANIES DRY AND DON'T CARE ABOUT GETTING THE PATIENT WELL. THEY FILL THEIR WAITING ROOM WHERE THEY OVERLOAD THEMSELVES NOT BEING ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF SICK

First of all, I live in California. If you can read that, then you would know what it states rather than what you are trying to say to twist things to your favor.

If you think no one cares about health care reform, then you are either being naive or sarcastic as you have stated that you think no reform is needed.

Finally, my father is a doctor. He barely got paid by some insurance companies earlier and it was a fight to get paid. Recently, it's been easier, but for most doctors and all doctors in California: it's a pain to work with private insurance companies.

Now, if it's a pain to get anything from those already with insurance... imagine what it would be like for those without insurance. You have no idea what you speak of Arnold.

Ignorance is bliss is true, and you are a perfect example. I know that the rest of the population is not like you and I am glad the uninformed do not run the country. That is why I am glad that for the most part: our country is a republic, and not a democracy. Otherwise, too many ignorant fools like you would vote on important problems our country faces without knowing the importance their consequences can be.

Someone is in a very boisterous mood today, and you may want to make yourself scarce after a short spell in their company. Their idea of a joke may be your idea of extreme rudeness, or they could take pleasure in being argumentative just for the sake of it. Don't let this person wind you up or you'll go off pop through sheer tension.
