Public Option. Anything else is a gift to the insurance industry.

Why would I want to turn anything over to the government.

Many good American citizens are currently without health care through no fault of their own. Should we just let them die?

Well the government runs Medicare pretty good with a MUCH smaller percentage of waste and administration cost than the rest of health care system. They do the same thing with the Veteran's health care system. Where do you think we would be without Social Security? Massive welfare is the answer! Then there is the Post Office which does a pretty good job in my opinion (6 day a week delivery direct to your residence, less than 50 cents to send a letter across the country, etc.). It's big business and the greedy HMOs that scare me much more than the government, thank you!

That is pretty much the Republican philosophy. Of course they have an excellent health care system (paid entirely by us taxpayers I believe!) and their fat cat supporters can afford any kind of health care they want...so who cares about the peasants? Let them just do without! That's the Republican way!

1. No one in this country does not have health care. You do not need insurnace to be treated.
2. Anyone who believes that Obamacare will reduce costs and improve service is delusional.
2. True reform would strt with tort reform and cut out the lawyers who get rich. But since the Dem's are owned by lawyers it won;t happen.
3. Allow sales across state lines - that owuld great reduce costs.
4. Adopt the system from Singapor. That truly does more and costs less.

I think EVERYONE should be responsible for their own health care. For an example of why I oppose:

I have a teacher who claims to not be able to afford health care because she does not make enough money. That is understandable, maybe we should help her? NO! She CHOOSES to live in Berkeley and is now signing up for a doctorate program. Why should the tax payers pay for her health care? She lives in an expensive town and chose to have a child at this time. She says she pays enough taxes so that she feels she should get health care. She probably pays VERY little! That is why I oppose Obamas health care. Irresponsible idiots with entitlement issues who think the government is their mommy and daddy. Get a second job genius!

Since when has the government let people die? Just because you don't get the best care doesn't mean it's unfair. My girlfriend had endocarditis and spent months in the hospital WITHOUT HEALTH INSURANCE! America needs to be responsible for their own lives. Plan for the worst, thats what my dad tells me, anything else is foolish. Rationing health care doesn't work! People use Britain and Canada as examples but they forget to look at COST, EFFECTIVENESS, TAXES, The fact that many come to the horrible USA for better care says a lot. Besides, look at their population and then look at ours. To successfully implement a "Public Option" would take buku bucks! Deficit nuetral my ass! Good thing Scott Brown got in their to curb these shady backroom deals. Obama is a disgrace!

Medicare... Going Broke
Social Security... Abused and going broke
Post Office... Losing mail left and right
Welfare... Keeping the ghetto, ghetto, and the lazy, lazy

The same Democrat politicians have the same great health care benefits as the Republicans. Maybe they should be forced into the same health care as average Americans will through "Odumbacare."

Stop blaming Republicans, its not their fault insurance premiums are high!

There needs to be a public option for insurance.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Sgt. 1st Class James F. Grissom, 31, of Hayward, Calif., died March 21 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, of wounds suffered from small arms fire March 18 in Paktika Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
