We can't afford it after the trillions Obama already wasted and regardless of what they say, anyone with any smarts knows taxes will go up to pay for it and all of us resent them treating us like a bunch of idiots who can't read and figure things out on our own. Plus, if 85% have coverage they want and are happy with it, why force us to go on a plan we DON'T want ??!! If they feel the need to cover the 5 or 10,000 who need it, then cover them BUT LEAVE THE REST OF US ALONE !! Why is that so hard to understand? Belgium let's people choose ~ they can sign up for the governement plan or they can have their own private health care !! Why can't those in D.C. do that here? This is America where we are supposed to have FREEDOM OF CHOICE and I resent you taking my choices away from me and millions of others who feel as I do. We aren't a bunch of dummies and THAT is why Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Baucus and the other crumbs don't want us to read what they are proposing because they don't care what WE want, they only care what they want. Let them move to Russia and enjoy the fruits of their labor over there ~ they are NOT TRUE AMERICANS to do this to others who have said NO NO NO NO NO !! What part of NO don't the idiots understand??? And above all else ~ DO NOT cover ILLEGALS !! What part of illegal don't you understand but then, you folks in Washington promised to uphold the Constitution and I don't see you doing that either. So Joe Wilson spoke the truth ~ Obama lies ~ Pelosi lies ~ Reid lies ~ Baucus lies ~ and on and on that list goes. All of you will answer to God for this mess and disrespectful you have created. And by the way Pelosi ~ I took out stock in Kleenex after your "wrenching" display of "tears" over the 70s in CA and guess what? It went bankrupt because they don't make fake Kleenex to go with fake tears. What a joke and embarrassment you all are to our country.

The problem lies with the Dr office and paperwork.
And greed, I might add.
People who work and pay insurance and don't really use it a lot. Say me for example, I had a good job with insurance for yrs and when I lost my job I got sick and had to go to Parkland without insurance. I don't drink, smoke either. All the money I worked hard for and paid for insurance went for someone else, didn't help me when I needed it most. Now I can't work and get any insurance, so I have to wait til I am old enough to go on medicare or medicaid if I should have to go to Parkland again.

Working people need something done about this situation.

Don't look to the Dr's or the insurance or the companies to do anything.... they are on the gravy train, making money from those with insurance !!!!!

and the pharmaceutical companies... another story

Those of us who have health insurance are paying for those who don't. If the 46 million who are currently uninsured obtain insurance, the burden on us will be eased.

Yes, and IF they get sick they have insurance.
There's loads of money being spent on corporate bonuses in the insurance business and hospital administration by those who have access to the money, just like the Wall St financial businesses.
I know my uncle was high up in the military years ago. He could splurge on anything and guess what he ate the most god-awful large steaks and drank 7-up and Pepsi's like water and wine too, I don't think he ever drank water or exercise. He was bigger than Elvis, food and drink was his "drug". He died at age 42, weighing over 300 lbs. He had a couple of heart attacks, diabetic as they can get. I don't know what kind of meds he was on, but he was in the hospital for bypass surgery before he died That was before the military told people to lose weight or get out. I would think a lot of money is spent on liquor in the military by those in high positions just like corporations.
These people are living in excess with other people's money.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
