Obama plan will increase my taxes and damages our current health care system which needs only some adjustments.

The problem lies with the Dr office and paperwork.
And greed, I might add. People who work and pay insurance and don't really use it a lot. Say me for example, I had a good job with insurance for yrs and when I lost my job I got sick and had to go to Parkland without insurance. I don't drink, smoke either. All the money I worked hard for and paid for insurance went for someone else, didn't help me when I needed it most. Now I can't work and get any insurance, so I have to wait til I am old enough to go on medicare or medicaid if I should have to go to Parkland again. Working people need something done about this situation. Don't look to the Dr's or the insurance or the companies to do anything.... they are on the gravy train, making money from those with insurance !!!!! and the pharmaceutical companies... another story |

Those of us who have health insurance are paying for those who don't. If the 46 million who are currently uninsured obtain insurance, the burden on us will be eased.

Yes, and IF they get sick they have insurance. There's loads of money being spent on corporate bonuses in the insurance business and hospital administration by those who have access to the money, just like the Wall St financial businesses. I know my uncle was high up in the military years ago. He could splurge on anything and guess what he ate the most god-awful large steaks and drank 7-up and Pepsi's like water and wine too, I don't think he ever drank water or exercise. He was bigger than Elvis, food and drink was his "drug". He died at age 42, weighing over 300 lbs. He had a couple of heart attacks, diabetic as they can get. I don't know what kind of meds he was on, but he was in the hospital for bypass surgery before he died That was before the military told people to lose weight or get out. I would think a lot of money is spent on liquor in the military by those in high positions just like corporations. These people are living in excess with other people's money. |
