we have too much government control as it is. even if this starts out as a great bill, soen the line it will be changed into a nightmare jsut as social security, medicare, and other social plans became. We need less government, not more, especially one which would have the legal power to decised who lives or dies through a government insurance plan.

The federal government writes thousands and thousands of pages in a health care bill that nobody has read in full.

If you have health insurance now think of all the paperwork you do, With government health care multiply that amount of work you do by twenty five. That's just for a start. Hope and Change.

I am tired of not being able to make my own descisions in life. I work, I pay bills that I can not control, I should have the option to select my own health care.

Do you really believe healthcare is a bad idea for all U.S. citizens?? I don't Maybe we should roll back the tax cuts Bush put into place for the rich. That would more than pay for healthcare and then some

Should someone's health and wellbeing be dependent on a company's profit margin?? That is exactly what is comes down to. If they help people their profits go down. DID YOU KNOW RAPE IS A PREEXISTING CONDITION??

I was in my walgreens yesterday, and a young man was trying to get a perscription filled. Turned out he was a marine just back from iraq. I didnt pay too much attention to the converstation until the pharmicist told him it would be 30 days beore he could get the medication. A brisk discussion followed but the pharmicist, who appeared to be really distressed at not being able to help this young man, advised him to go back to the VA hospital and try to get it straightened out. He was not happy but thanked the pharmisit and left. The next person in line was a woman who asked for and got a spanish interperter. I don't know what the perscription wa, not speaking spanish, the bill came up to less than $5.00 which she for with her linc card(free aid). So what is wrong with this. I am a lower middle class person who worked all my life just to make ends meet, and half my income goes to taxes. But at least I already have affordable insurance that I pay for, not the government. I have no problem with this, but it seems to me a young marine who is serving his county should get more attention than a non resident who may or not be here legally. This is a sample of what the government is doing now, what will happen when it gets total control. And i hope everyone will keep in mind, the politicians who are shoving this down our throats won't be affected be this. They already took care of themselfs by providing the best coverage possible.

it's pretty funny how people pick this as a huge deal. I think it is a no brainer, People should not be denied healthcare because or crooked companies. The whole goal of these companies is to turn a profit by denying claims for as many people as possible. Is this right? Don't get me wrong i believe in capitalism, it's great! But at what Expense??? By the way... shipping middle class jobs to other countries and then selling back the product to the U.S. is not capitalism....its greed by corporations to increase profit. The real estate speculators as wells as the bankers\real estate who fleeced the U.S. for billions/trillions of dollars by preying on unsuspecting homeowners. THIS NOT CAPITALISM IT's GREED

But it's so American...and bygumit...were just gonna have to live with it!

Of course I am joking. The fear with people is based on ignorance. I have been looking at different States and the ignorance is...well, what you see here.

Best of luck being one of a few bright bulbs in a dark and dingy room.
