Health Care Debate - Fort Myers Beach, FL

The cost of health care is out of hand and will eventually bankrupt the country unless something is done.
If there is no "public option" what will happen is that the insurance companies will just keep "raping" the American public

Normally I wouldn't have a problem with a government run option. But in todays times, with the governments imperfections (to say the least) how can we trust that they would run it properly? If we had a near perfect government it could work because it at least would be a NOT FOR PROFIT endeaver and therefore the cost would come down. After all, Social Security worked very well, untill the politicians borrowed from the fund and bankrupted it - and they started giving it away to illegal immigrants....(it wasn't designed for that). Yet no one talks about those things, do they.
I can't listen to the devisive Republicans and Libertarians - because they only want to help the greedy corporations and not the citizens (imo). They seem to be doing another great job scaring people. But then - they may have some items in the healthcare proposal that we should be scared about. For instance the monetary penalties for those who don't want to buy into it - that is just plain wrong and unconstitutional !!! And the Illegal Immigrants who have phony papers will get the healthcare just like they used those phony papers to get their Union jobs !!! Give me a break. Wilson was right to call "O" a liar on that subject - no one will be checking those papers like they should !!!

Too many people are without health care. And too many insurance co. are getting too rich of of people. Time to stand up and be counted America. Once again!
