I see how my employers are passing the higher cost of insurance on to their employees more and more. I do not like the idea that they now hold the insurance threat over their workers as a scare tactic. Insurance should be a right to all citizens without the preexisting condition clauses and constantly rising costs and threat of losing it when changing or losing a job. The illegal immigrants have lowered the pay standards and we are all losing our lower middle income jobs with our insurance so I am all for the President's health care plan. If he will address the employers who are hiring illegal immigrants and jeopardizind blue collar jobs for hard working americans my husband and i will be very pleased! I am surrounded by neighbors who have not been able to get a job for over a year. I have to search high and low to find a company who hires American citizens to do any work around my home!! Illegals have taken all the construction, lawnscaping, restaurant etc, etc, jobs. These employers pay them less to do the job and the illegals can afford that because they are living 4 families to a house and getting all the hand outs they can while sending their paycheck back to Mexico to fatten their economy. It is a tragedy that American companies will sell their souls to the devil by employing illegals and deny jobs to qualified americans to live high off the hog themselves!!!!

Obama has already taxed our grandchildren into the poor house the public option is too expensive, there are alot of things that could be done to improve the system without the costly socialist bill he wants.

Actually the borrow to spend trend began with Reagan was carried on by Bush Sr (read my lips tax), lowered by Clinton and accelerated by Bush, Jr. As a registered Independent I watch both sides of the aisle.

I wonder how many of the people who comment about the cost of this plan are actually informed about the cost of our "private" health care to the national economy. More people should do research before condemning or supporting a plan. The US pays a higher percentage of our GDP to health care than any other country - including those that offer health care to all of their citizens. So, we cover fewer people and it costs us a lot more?

Americans need to start taking supplements for their intellect so that we are not so easily manipulated by a random group of people whose credentials are highly suspect throwing around scare words like "socialist" and "death panels". Think it through. What actual data do you have that informs your opinion?
