I did not vote for Nobama and I have not supported one of his policies since taking office in January. He stole the election from McCain by voter fraud plain and simple the south should have won the Civil War.

You, sir, are quite obviously a sad, lonely, racist slob who loves dogs more than human beings! We are all CREATED EQUAL! This country has a long history of inequality and injustice for all... and it is people like yourself and Mr. McCain who continue to perpetuate this! For a "grown" man to insinuate that this country would be a better place if the south would have won the Civil War is solid proof of your ignorance and incompetence! It's a good thing that you live in Kentucky... bring that racist ideaology to the north; and you might find a noose around YOUR plump neck! WE ALL BLEED RED!

Stay out of my personal affairs and pocket. I do with my money what I want. I pay as I go. I need no government funded program like others. My hand is not out for a freebie.

Inequality you say, single white female, to whom, wait let me tell you. To the hard working, bill paying, honest people of this country. The people of all races with their hands constantly out for their freebie are breaking my back. I can not bend over anymore. Health care for the sake of health care is not a good idea for me. I take care of myself and my own, pay as I go, use common sense and avoid going to the doctor. Others are running in "I'm sick, disabled etc" to get the government check and all the free goodies. They are the majority that want another hand out. I frankly can not afford it. But, I need to be more limber in bending because I will be forced to buy it and getted screwed again. WE ALL BLEED RED!! Well the government and myself are bleeding GREEN. I cannot afford you or anybody else in my pocket.

If you people do not want to pass out the freebies you speak of then do away with the programs. Go ahead. Do something else besides cry about how you eat your Special K for breafast, stay in shape and mock the ones that have the sense to go to a doctor. You continue to pay, pay, pay and we can continue to take, take take. Not much one little gringo can do about it is there? Now go to work for me my fingers hurt and need free medical care.

If you were out there and seen how many people are suffering because they can't afford health care, but don't qualify for state aide, you'd understand better. Many who have been kicked off state aide, like the elderly, who can't afford to buy insurance, or pay for their medicade, that don't get the necessary meds they need. Or the small families with children, who aren't offered insurance through their jobs, make too much money to get state aide, these are the people this health reform target to care for. But of course, if this isn't you, or you don't know anyone like this, you won't support this measure. Also, now insurance companies can't deny you for preexisting conditions. Now if you oppose this, then so be it. If you had an absessed tooth and end up with heart disease, the insurance could have at one point denied to cover your medical costs, because gum disease is linked to heart disease. But of course, ignorance to the truth is what leads all to cry out against the measure that passed.

Big picture made some good points but the problem isnt the elderly and those that cant work. It's the lowlife pieces of crap out there who can but are just out for everyone else to support them.I won't support any LAW MAKER who is in office now because of their ignorance. If these people we are supporting wont get a job we need to put them out there picking up trash or cleaning buildings or mowing yards.Anything to earn what is being GIVEN to them. I was always taught that nothing in life is free but I guess the wonderful parents who raised me were wrong.

For one, Kentucky fought for the north. Secondly, no southerner goes north, yankees pour down to the south by droves. Why is that?

US health care is deadly. It is the leading cause of death and injury in the US.

US health care is 17% of our GDP.

US health care is ranked 39th in the world.

US health care has the highest paid doctors.

US health care make the most medical blunders.

US health care costs consumers nearly 3 times more than the rest of the world.

US health care leads the world in hospital born infection.

US health care only reports 20% of its medical errors.

US health care is bankrupting this country.(imagine if every American had 6000 dollars more of disposable income because they weren;t spending it on health insurance.

US health care creates 500 billion dollars because of medical errors.

Who is currently running our health care system?

Could it be the same medical industry that has ruined it and is now funding the tea baggers?

One other question, since all these doctors and medical people are all well trained, educated and certified in their profession, does that mean that all that medical training is meaningless? If it isn't so, your argument fails.

To assume all doctors and medical people are well trained, and educated is absurd. The doctor of the future will practice medicine in fundamentally different ways. One of the most important shifts will be in increased recognition of patient individuality, a concept now largely ignored. Medicine as it is currently practiced is to develop procedures and drugs that work equally well on all patients, regardless of gender, age, or genetics. It's as if we all rolled off an assembly line. This imperfect conception of human beings limits conventional medicine's effectiveness.

The doctor practices in a different way today then 20 years ago. I remember when you went to the same doctor for any condition. Now you have a specialist for every single health condition out there. Could this in itself be a reason for soring health care costs?

Your parents weren't wrong. Unfortunately big business congomerates and our leaders of this country lost that important value they taught you. The general mentality and work ethic of this country is not what it used to be. Blood sweat and tears build our nation and being the nation we are full of good samaritans we are finding what humankind has become. If we really cared for one another and all were willing to put in our share our country would be in great shape. I agree with you that there is something that each and every one of us could be doing to contribute but there is always that anchor(s) slowing the good ones down and eventually it is going to come to a halt. It is a scary thing to think that something as simple as the mentality of getting a free buck (social programs) or making a quick buck (Wall Street) is indeed breaking the backs of the good hard working people of our great country. Just an example of how strong a good principal that your parents had can building something, and how a bad principal that so many seem to have today is so powerful. I pray each day for our country.

People should listen to Local. One can't take more then they produce. When this happens the economy will change for the worst. Live within your means and be happy with who you are. Stop trying to keep up with the Jones. Nobody cares.

In a earlier post you are supporting giving health care to everyone, whether or not "I" can afford it. I guess living within your means doesn't apply to health care. Socialism is based on giving those who take well more than they produce. The Romans destroyed themselves with that same flawed philosophy.

I didn't read TV MAN's post with the same interpretation. I think TV said if health care is free everyone one should pitch in. If it's not going to be free then people should make a choice. Since it is out of the question to not service those who can't pay. Insurance should be mandatory. For those that fall in the no pay zone the government will subsidize.

Then the government should subsidize for everyone.

Do away with 'The Programs'...like WIC, Welfare, all the free insurance programs and give back to the working class!
