Every other democracy has universal health care with only 10% of GDP spent. America spends 17% of GDP on health care. We can do better.

I'm with KM too, the British NHS is a wonderful thing for all its flaws, and I think that the leading democracy in the world should be sitting up and giving its citizens free healthcare!

If nothing else, people will have more spare cash that would have otherwise gone to their health insurance. Just think, you could be spending your hard earned $$$ at http://www.dubli.com instead of giving it to greedy insurance companies!

The United States has been nibbling away at the Constitution since the era of FDR. A nation ceases to be FREE when a mandate to buy insurance is levied upon its people. The Obama Democratic Health Care bill is a Communist clone that is blatantly UnConstitutional.

...Obama is going to break the back of the middle class...the people are against this and against him. I'll never vote Democratic again...

Government waste and inefficiency is WELL documented - why oh why would ANYONE think this could possibly be a good thing? Losing our freedoms, etc. To DannyB.- Ignorance on full display. Do you not get that the "needy" already have gov't care??? This will particularly hit and hurt the mainstream, middle class. Also - get the FACTS! Even the CBO states that costs will rise dramatically and over 30million will NOT be covered under this piece of @#$#@$ bill.

I have been to the U.K. over 400 times on business. They hate their health care, it is deplorable. People have to wait for over 6 months to get a CAT scan when they have cancer! The only time their healthcare system is great is if you are a foreigner and your insurance pays. We are a Democracy, not a Socialist Fascist society! Don't give up our constitution!
