United States cant afford it. We are broke.

The government can't run anything properly I definitely do not want them running my healthcare. I pay for my healthcare insurance just like I pay for my home, automobile, and life insurance. Leave it alone!

So you don't mind insurance rates going up 25% a year? How long can we afford the current system?

This country is broke. The only way they can afford to create a government healthplan would be to tax the people, once again.
They need to revamp the healthcare systems they already have in place and make adjustments to cover this new proposal. I should not have to pay for my neighbors healthcare because they "say" they cannot afford it. |

If you have insurance, and you pay taxes, you are already paying for your neighbor's healthcare (unless he has private insurance as well).
The country has been broke since 1835. If I had to write a check each month for the amount my company does (to cover the cost of my healthcare), I'd probably "say" I couldn't afford it either. |

I feel that it will jeopardize the system we already have in place, even though we DO neet some changes, it will go the way of the bailouts and auto takeovers.
