We have enought laws on the books limiting gun ownership. Why don't our politicians actually allow the courts to punish these cowards with the death penalty instead of life in prison and non stop media coverage!

To many laws now, The founders had it right, GUNS are to keep the government in check, hunting is secondary.

second amendment:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Go learn some history. "Militia" back then didn't mean "anti-government crackpot extremists". Atlanta's finest have enough to deal with besides watching their backs for nut cases. The amendment was written when we didn't have a standing army. Try taking your AR up against the today's troops and there won't be enough left to bury.
Gun permits should require safety and handling training - too many IDIOTS treat firearms like toys. More family members are killed each year than home invaders.

Well it is very simple, if you are too stupid, as is your offspring, then don't buy a gun. No one is forcing you to buy one, no one if forcing you to hold one. The second Admendment was very much intended to protect American citizens against a tyranical government! Just like the British were and just like our government is becoming now. Try to reading some history and turn off MSNBC. They are quoting spewing your exact same post you Troll.

One, what makes you think I have a AR, yes I know well how to fire one, being that after boot camp in '67 that's what the Corps issued us to us against out enemy at the time, as use it well to protect one another we did. Not for God or Country, put to protect each other. As to gun safety, I agree to a point, all who never served should take a course on safety before being carrying a weapon for protection. Myself, having a father that was a sniper in WW2 and a hunter, we learned by the age of 10 what a gun can do, and how to handle one safely. As to a standing army, you are stupid, that why we have the second, as to being shot to pits, LOL, already earned my heart in '68 and again in '69. being that there are 20 million vets in this nation, and 5 million of us are combat vets, i would say we can still hold our own against a standing army.
