That's right there are a lot of people who are responsible and have guns for protection and sporting and hunting. Guns don't kill people its ignorant people behind the guns that kill people. Besides there would be someone who would black market guns if they got outlawed just like other things. Drugs usuall influence peopl to harm other people whether its a baseball bat knife or a big rock if person wants to kill they donor have to choose a gun all the time.

Nope. Guns are bad. Yes, they kill people. To deal with a public health epidemic like gun violence by introducing MORE guns, or just having EVERYONE go around armed like the wild west is just lunacy.
And people are still using the old, tired "If guns were outlawed..." crap? Really? Heck, why have any laws? I mean, if (fill in the blank) is outlawed, only criminals will (fill in the blank).
But, I guess that's the kind of flawed logic that insists more poison is the cure.

Really? If you don't like guns move somewhere else. There will always be murder. Outlaw guns and people will use chemicals to build bombs. Would you rather have bombs or guns? The Constitution guarantees us that right. It shouldn't even be up for debate. It's a RIGHT that our founding fathers gave us!!! End of story.

All if this is coming in the wake of the Colorado shooting. I read where they are now wanting to limit how much ammo you can buy in a month.
Ok explain to me how if we had the limit of 1000 rounds a month it would have prevented this killing? The 1000 is what is being proposed. Would that have stopped it? No.... Guy had a 100 round magazine in his rifle and it jammed, means he didn't use 100 rounds, no where even close to 1000.
The man rigged his apartment with explosives and was good enough at the rigging that it took a bomb squad almost 2 days to get in it. If he hadn't have used a gun he'd used explosives.
Now on the gun control debate, anti gunners are always saying if we take them away. Let's turn this around. What if..... everyone in that theater who was old enough and passed the background checks had been carrying a gun. How many do you think would have been killed then? Yes I know that is the age old argument used by pro gunners but, anti gunners seem to never have a reasonable answer for it.
This guy passed all the background checks, no criminal history, no publicly available mental history and if he did have mental problems and was seeing someone it is covered by patient doctor laws. So does this mean it's his doctors fault for not telling anyone? Should he be sued??
If we had had the laws on the books some members in congress are proposing guess what???? The man still would have been able to do what he did... he had no criminal background to throw a flag up...
