Don't forget that in 2004 Romney signed what the AP would later call “one of the toughest assault weapons laws in the country.”

I remember, it didn't stop one criminal from using a high capacity magazine, all it did was limit the law abiding citizens to 10 rounds of return fire. That's a very disconcerting situation, and I'm not willing to return to those policies.

Why do ordinary citizens need body armor?
Why do ordinary citizens need 100 round clips?
Will we let the public buy WMDs?
Has this arming of the public went too far?

"Ordinary citizens" don't need, and are prohibited by law, from owning body armor.
I certainly hope you're not saying the joker in Colorado was in any way normal.
My .45 is a 12+1, carry one extra magazine, that would have come to a total of 25 shots at that crazy bastards face, in a dark theater.(he was wearing ballistic head-gear) do you think that's overkill? Would have had him zero'd, in 2 or 3,
but the conditions inflicted on ordinary families make me wonder if its not time to start carrying a back up 9mm 18+1 with extras, I'm not gonna be left in a position, that all I can do is lay on top of my loved ones, and hope things end soon.
Screw that, somebody put an end to it as soon as it starts, don't let them walk the aisles looking for more victims.

A NUT IS A NUT.

If they cant get there hands on a gun they will find something else to kill with.

Maybe we should outlaw kitchen knives ?

Maybe we should outlaw base ball bat's ?

O hell, let's just outlaw everything !!!

I think gun ownership should be outlawed.
If people would just learn to give the robbers, and rapists what they wanted, they would take what they wanted, and leave. Quit trying to resist, you are just causing further harm, drug addicts can't help that no job will pay enough to support a habit, what gives you the right to shoot someone just because they are making a forcible attempt at depriving you of your property?
Some people think that they have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that's as crazy as thinking the framers of the Constitution would want you to have freedoms, they were giving us a set of rules that we were required to follow. You gun owners are the problem, if we could live without fear, and take what we wanted, we would live in the utopia our forefathers wanted for us.

I don't think anyone wants to take away weapons that are used for defense of your home and property. But I also don't think you need body armor and assault weapons with 100 round clips to defend yourself. Some weapons are only good for murdering others quickly, do we really need the right to buy those freely and as many as we want? Surely people realize that the Constitution wasn't written with the purpose of letting people own weapons for mass killing.

If you don't think the liberals want to totally disarm the citizens in this country you are sadly mistaken, and there is nothing wrong with law abiding citizens owning 100 rd mags. or any rifle he or she wishes, the idiots who are willing to give their life to kill people can not be stopped by more laws, strict and fast punishment is the only way to slow down tragedies like this like, he's guilty should be fried asap

Thanks, every web page I've seen said, available to police and active military.
Don't want any, but I'm glad for the info that its not restricted.
On second thought, maybe I'll get groin protection, the wife carries.

I'm not that naive to think removing the right to own 100 round clips and assault weapons would stop the killing, but are you not smart enough to realize that limiting those items would make the killing of multiple victoms take longer and give other people time to escape?

Criminals don't obey the law and won't stop carrying guns. Law abiding people need to protect themselves and their family with GUNS.

limiting law abiding citizens from owning high cap. mags. or certain types of weapons will effect nothing, because the people committing these crimes are not law abiding, what don't you people understand about this. Everywhere that concealed carry by law abiding people is up violent crime is DOWN

Lately, all of these mass murderers have been "law abiding citizens". Mainly because the gun lovers won't use common sense and make owning these assault weapons illegal. You're fault, not mine.

Every single bit of the gun violence hangs on your head gun lover!

Are you proud?

if anyone is looking to kill another human being. it dosent matter if that person is armed with a handgun. a rifle or a chainsaw. its all the same result. ya dont see people looking to ban chainsaws or any other garden tools, or any kind of tools for that matter. its the person/individual that kills, not the firearm. firearms are like any tool. when used for the right job its perfect. you wouldnt use a power drill to cut down a tree lol
