The purpose of guns is not to hunt. It is to protect yourself from an oppressive government.

Won't solve anything, criminals will still have easy access to guns via the black market. Upstanding citizens will have no real defense (a knife or pepper spray doesn't cut it when the other guy has a gun). I also enjoy recreational target shooting and shouldn't be punished because someone else uses guns in a negative way.

handguns are the most common weapons used by petty crooks.(hunting) rifles are usually used by recreational gun users for legitimate purposes and these users know how to correctly store, maintain and use their guns.

i also support banning assault weapons not covered by federal or state bans.

Have you ever been assaulted by a defensive weapon? Bayonet attacks are rare, to say the least. Machine gun attacks are rare as well.
The misnomer "assault weapon" is nonsense.

Mexico has seen an increase in violence by the U.S. guns there and an expired assault weapons ban. Assault weapons serve no useful social purpose for non-military use. The Mexican Drug Cartels are swimming in assault weapons.

Ban all military assault weapons for civilian sale.

Banning guns will not get them off the streets, the old saying is true, when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. Its pretty much like that now. Also it is our constitutional right. I don't own one but I don't like the government telling me I can't. We have too much government.

There's no such thing as an assault weapon.
There are semi-automatic rifles that do not fire in full-automatic mode, however, and they scare Senator Feinstein.
That's why she's one of the few residents of San Francisco to be allowed a concealed weapon permit.
Not because she's a powerful politician and her life is therefore far, far more valuable than yours.
Honest.

Can you say honestly that you believe banning guns will disarm a gang banger or any other criminal? They will always find a way to get them. I grew up with guns in the house as did most of my relatives and no by stander was ever shot. Perhaps we should ban cars, I almost was killed the other day by a texting teen while I was in the cross walk. That scares me way more than any gun.

This is a Constitutional Republic. The Supreme court has already verified that I have a Constitutional right to bear arms. Through lawsuits, I think we'll get concealed permits "shall issue" someday soon. I already carry discretely. Rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

You are ignorant. This propaganda put out by the Mexican government and groups that want to subvert our Constitution has been proven to be FALSE. Go look it up yourself. You are a lemming.

this was a conclusion reached by an independent statistician, not a member of the Mexican government nor a Mexican government sanctioned group.

their analysis proved violence in Mexico has increased due to availability of U.S. produced guns, particularly automatic weapons and the removal of a ban on these weapons. their analysis removed a lot of extraneous variables.

show me it has been proven to be false. the burden is on you.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
