Do I really need to explain it? Second Amendment, self-defense, home security.

I have carried handguns for self protection for several years. My family depends on this as a matter of piece of mind. I have never brandished a weapon nor produced it save once when while walking I stumbled into a drug deal and was confronted by a surly looking lookout. That meeting ended quietly when I drew my weapon. We parted ways with a simple nod. That was in Portland a few years by the way.

A Kennesaw, GA city ordinance requires that all homeowners own a firearm and ammunition (Sec 34-1a). No one has ever been charged with violating this ordinance. An amendment exempts those who conscientiously object to owning a firearm, convicted felons, those who cannot afford a firearm, and those with a mental or physical disability that would prevent them from owning a firearm.

I think I would probably conscientiously object until my kids are out of the house... unless it's a ghetto area with really high crime. I like guns, but I don't like the idea of my kids getting them... and I don't own a safe.

Criminals will always find a way to get a gun. That's why they are criminals. Banning handguns only disarms the law biding public and they are not the problem.

Nothing to explain. The Constitution allows a person a right to own a firearm. a Handgun is a tool and a type of firearm carried by people for years.

It's my right according to the Constitution, and now, more than ever, we need protection from the government, as well as criminals.

Amen! They're called criminals because they break the law, so getting a handgun would just be another law they broke!

As a victim of a violent attack when I was younger, I don't understand why someone that doesn't want believe guns should be legal would take the right away from someone that wants to protect themselves and FAMILY. Citizens with guns are not the problem! Criminals with guns are & there are already laws for that!
