YOU KNOW IF YOU LIVE HERE THAT POINT PLEASANT HAS WENT TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET. it was at one time a nice place back in the early 60 but along about mid 70 it started going down hill and it never has stopped. TRUTH there is no work here unless your father or some good friend worked in a power plant to get you on or maybe the river that is about it for good jobs here. WE HAVE HIGH GAS PRICES HIGH RENT FOR A GOOD HOUSE and no law enforcement dope is bad here and the people that run this town don't give a dam about the poor people here just them selves i know what they say we are helping the people but they are NOT. THEY SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON CRAP LIKE PAINTING THE FOOD WALL FIX UP OLD HOUSES what the hell for does it help the working people or the Poor NO IT DOES NOT. IT ONLY HELP PUT MONEY IN THE PEOPLE POCKETS THAT RUN THIS TOWN. OR THE GUY THAT GET ALL THE GRANT'S HERE DO YOU KNOW HE GET'S 10 PER CENT OF THE MONEY now you think about that for awhile. you know it is easy if you got a pocket full of money but if you flip hamburgers at Mickie D it is a bitch trying to make a living. so spend the money making jobs bringing in work to point help the working people not the all ready rich.

It would only lead to having other things banned that really don't need banned. I don't like people that use them in a bad way but I don't blame it on the gun. They would just find something else to use.

I agree with Chad. If we ban one thing that can be used by a person to kill why not go ahead and ban everything that can be used as a weapon to murder or kill someone.

The gov. has ALREADY interfered in the lives of private citizens to such an extreme that there are laws on the books now that forbid.......smoking in you CAR if you have a child in the car..... Happy Meals, smoking in public, they've removed prayer from schools, from our currency, let them take our guns and we deserve what ever comes down the pike! Personally, I HAVE a gun, I intend to KEEP that gun, and NO ONE wants to come tryin to take it.Law enforcement in Mason County is a joke. City,State OR County, they're all on the crooked side. They have great personalities until they get irritated with you and then you're in handcuffs Western Regional bound!!!!Those on the "inside" are treated preferentially while those not into politics or in the "know" are watching their own backs. The SHERIFF has a child out of wedlock, his wife divorces him, and no one is willing to speak of it out loud? Why? He's no better than anyone else and has proven that his morals suck!!!
Mason County used to be a decent place to live. And yes, even in the 60's & 70's there was the "good ole boy" clique, but seriously, there wasn't the crime THEN that there is NOW. For instance....Bubby Denny? Do you think he REALLY had a MVA and died where he was found? Seriously???? Right along the highway, just yards from the highway, and no one saw that truck all that time? Nope, someone killed him, dumped him there days later to be found and nothing is being done!!!Or explain the massive injuries he suffered from runnin his truck into a creek? As for gun control? I pray that the rednecks of W.V., Ky., and other like minded states band together and say "hell to the no!!!"
Just my opinion!

An armed society are citizens...
An unarmed society are subjects...

I could rattle off quote after quote after quote but to me the bottom line on those pushing for greater control of firearms, more restrictions on firearms or even an out and out ban of firearms I can assure each and everyone such things are pointless and won't accomplish whatever it is you think it will... In almost every incident where indiscriminate multiple or single shootings occurred there were warning signs in advance that went unheeded... As for the one's that were addressed prior to the incident oversights, poor judgement or downright refusals to address the problems simply didn't happen... Had the justice system just utilized the laws and resources already in place almost all of those shootings would never became the grim realities they were...

The easiest and most simple argument for why more firearm restrictions and laws won't help or fix the problem can be supported by parallels of the very laws we the law abiding adhere to today... There are laws that restrict many things in our world such as illegal narcotics and other controlled substances but do we not have drug problems in our communities because of those laws??? Prostitution is against the law in all but a small area of one state but does it stop the worlds oldest profession from thriving even in the most economically depressed areas??? Nope... Back during the prohibition years did liquor just dry up and disappear because government decided to ban alcoholic beverages??? I think we all know the answer to that one too don't we???

Stricter gun control or firearm bans would do little to disarm those that seek them as a tool to use in commission of crimes... I would honestly like to see the statistics on gun related crimes in respect to those that purchased the firearm as prescribed by existing law to commit crimes and those that bought guns under less than legal circumstances... Again I can't help but believe the numbers would show the criminals, the deranged, etc, etc don't operate in accordance with the laws we have... Does it really make sense to ban motor vehicles when someone is harmed or killed because the driver was operating it in a reckless and irresponsible manner??? I don't believe that would fix the real problem... JMHO...

I meant to ask if we still had drug problems "in spite" of those laws...
