Gun Control Debate - Miami, FL

As a hard working citizen and a family of 2 children I believe in the second amendment to protect and defend what is yours in self defense.

That's all we need...more non-English speaking troglodytes roaming around with guns!

only the police should be allowed to have guns ,it would certainly lower crime ! How many people have to die needlessly before we change this law .

I feel that the NRA has been a disaster in the south which is their stronghold. You probably have more shootings in Miami in a year than all of NY in the same period of time.
Assorted COWARD "cowboys" who come in all races,ethnicities hide behind their guns .
If you want home "protection" a rifle works just fine. The problem with hand guns is that they are easily hidden and many carry them.
No carry permits + no hand guns = safer society.

Lets look at the real crime issue. Miami is a black city. Anytime you have a large population of blacks/Hispanics, you have crime. Does this make me a racist? Potentially, well, probably. But, this doesn't make me any less correct.

Find an all white town, and you won't find a crime rate anywhere near as high as a community with blacks/Hispanics. The reason we have the right to conceal is because we want to be safe when business forces us to come to your horrible city.

Really, name a safe city that has a high rate of blacks. Can't be done. ALL of the cities that are the safest in the nation have a 85% or more rate of white people.

But is a higher crime rate a function of race or a function of poverty? Poor white neighborhoods in larger cities also have a higher crime rate than the wealthier parts of the city. That doesn't mean the entire white race has a fundemental flaw.

But what type of crime? Yes, there is a higher rate of simple assault and race, and you can certainly relate poverty to crime, but even in cities with equal population and an equal economical status, you have a massive difference in crime once you through race into the picture.

Jesse Jackson, one of the leaders of the "black community" said it best.

"There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved."

This is from Jesse Jackson himself, terrified to be around black people. He knows the rate and statistics.

I'm not suggesting all black people all bad either. I am however saying that before we even bother looking at guns as a cause, we need to be looking at who is committing the crime and asking the question "did they have a legal right anyhow?"

Oh, I should toss this in here. My father was fresh off a Cherokee reserve. My mother is from Germany, second generation here. My mother didn't move here until she was 11.

My heritage comes from a German Jew and a native American. Both groups have massive issues with their cultures. I've seen first hand the effect of liquor on my fathers people. BUT, you or anyone can say "Liquor is killing your people" and no one will shoot you and claim you were making fun of their race and putting them in a corner. Latinos, largely the same will take criticism when it effects the "community" as a whole. Blacks are the only race in America that can be wrong and somehow cry race and make everyone else responsible.

As a "community" there IS something wrong with the black race. it's a life time of entitlement attitudes and special treatment that are killing them and everyone around them. When it's suggested by anyone, they're called a racist, or Uncle tom. Look what they did to Bill Cosby. He said what is clear to the entire world and many people in the "black community" said stuff like "he may as well be white, uncle tom" and blah blah blah.
