If we ban handguns, then only criminals will have them.
It's not as though police are very effective. Even when they arrest the criminals, the judges free them.

"A well regulated militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." For a detailed explanation of just what that means see the majority opinions in DC v. Heller and MacDonald v. the City of Chicago, et. al. This question has already been answered by the highest court in the land.

Only a frigging cake socker would oppose owning handguns, and I'm not one of those.

Only morons think gun control stops crime. Gun bans are as effective as drug bans, and we all know how well that's working.

Police respond to crime after it happens. Why be helpless in your own home when you don't have to be.

A ban would result in only criminals carrying - not a good thing!

If anything, every lawful citizen should get a gun and permission to carry it. Bet criminals would think twice if they KNEW they may get shot for their trouble.

Take away our only means of self defense? Absolutely not!Like others have said, if you take away our guns, only the criminals , police, and the military will have guns. Under the 2nd Amendment we have the right to bear arms and protect ourselves from all enemies , be they foreign or domestic. God Bless America. Land that I Love.

I see no reason to ban a constitutionally protected practice such as bearing arms. So long as the police and military can possess and use handguns as part of their small arms arsenal, by law and by the spirit of the second amendment, so too should the citizenry.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
