Properly trained individuals with guns are a deterrent to crime. Hunters, some who actually use the meat for families need their guns.

They can have my gun when they pry it from my cold dead hands.

As guns became more controlled, from 1968 to 1985, the murder rates shot up from 5 per 100,000 to 10.9 per 100,000. Since gun control has been relaxed, starting with the Federal Gun Owners' Protection Act and the Florida Concealed carry laws in 1986 and 1987, the murder rate has dropped back down to 5 per 100,000

Gun control is not about guns its about control.

Gun control is about control not guns.

The laws for gun control doesn't stop a criminal from having a gun. A criminal will get a gun even if they have to steal it!

Self defense should always be an inherent "right" for all and should never ever be "given" by a any governing entity. Personal protection needs to be available to counter potential violent attacks from man, animal, or as history has already demonstrated, from the "state."

Gun control is all in the breathing, aim, and trigger squeeze. Everything else is a government myth.

I oppose any additional gun laws!

No - guns to not kill, criminals kill andy
they will always get the guns they need. Try punishing them, not the citizens who are trying to protect themselves..you should uphold the 2nd amendment! |

The Founding Fathers were wise enough to provide American citizens with the tools necessary to preserve and protect their new nation from All Enemies, Foreign and DOMESTIC. They realized that the greatest threat to liberty was identical to what the original settlers left England to escape... a government accumulating ever more power to control the very lives of everyday people.
Possession of the tools to continue this charge to American citizens were recognized to be a natural right, just as the right of self-preservation, and as such was of paramount importance. The right to keep and bear arms, from clubs to knives, to firearms, to whatever technology brings us next, MUST be preserved, and hopefully never necessary to exercise in the manner that the Founding Fathers feared, if this great country is to survive. |

As gun control waas made more strict from the late 60's to the mid 80's,with 80% of the states being "may issue" or "no issue" for concealed carry the murder rate rose to over 10 per 100,000, and with it becoming easier to own and carry, with 80% of the states "shall issue" or not needed, the murder rate has dropped back to 5 per 100,000. If they were banned, the rate would be at least double what it was in the mid '80s, and I don't want to see the murder rate between 20 and 25 per 100,000

Ron Paul: This Is Why Drugs Should Be Legalized...Think 'Fast & Furious' whose BIG prize was to be Our guns...
http://www.youtube.com/watch... On Wednesday, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee voted to hold Holder in contempt for not supplying documents related to the “Fast and Furious” investigation. Holder and the government initially claimed guns were not transferred to Mexico, but later admitted they had, which prompted the the committee to request more documents. The covert operation provided Mexican drug cartels with a large number of weapons. In December, it was revealed that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives discussed using the operation to argue for new laws restricting gun sales and attack Our Second Amendment. http://www.infowars.com/pelosi-says-holder-co... |

we have a right to bear arms in the constitution and we need to keep this the criminals will have the guns and we would be helpless to major crime if we couldn't protect ourselves.
