The only reason we have never had an attack on the continental United States is that almost every household has at least on gun in it. Leaders of other countries know that. Here in Mississippi, when Katrina hit all the good folks here came out with chainsaws and other items needed to clean up the mess. If we are ever attacked ground forces will have to deal with all us coming out with deer rifles, shotguns and yes handguns. They would get a bunch of us but we would get a bunch of them too. Not like invading rock throwers from the Middle Eastern countries. We need to keep our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Tell Obama that.

You got that right about Katrina. All the roads around here were cleared in quickly. I'd say under two hours one way three another and never saw a person from the government. I was a little surprise with the speed but only a little since I know how fast and dependable people not dependent on the government can be.
Worked with a anti gun person. Told him there's a reason home invasion don't happen around here. It's cause criminals know there a good chance everyone dwelling has a person packing or a shotgun leaning near by. Dude blew that off but could not answer why with all the criminals and bad people there aren't more home invasions. Cause they know they'll be horizontal on someone's lawn with a big hole in them. Gets proven every now and then but rarely.
Need guns cause waiting 30 minutes for the JCSO to get across the country is a stupid mandate. That is if you were even able to get the call out during an invasion.

* Why hasn't the United States experienced this kind of government oppression? Many reasons could be cited, but the Founding Fathers indicated that an armed populace was the best way of preventing official brutality. Consider the words of James Madison in Federalist 46:
Let a regular army, fully equal to the resources of the country, be formed; and let it be entirely at the devotion of the federal government; still it would not be going too far to say, that the State governments, with the people on their side, would be able to repel the danger ... a militia amounting to near half a million of citizens with arms in their hands.19*
These are words from a true American. An American that would never let us become so ill advised with thoughts of becoming more and more passive like Australia, Japan, the U.K.

It's a constitutional right...Like it or not, which I happen to love. Our forefathers, thankfully, were certainly forward thinking.

Firearms are necessary to protect life & property when the police can't be there. Without weapons for protection, just of the increase in crimes and deaths that would occur. Very simple.

Firearms. The main answer to not having to live in fear a lot of the time. Firearms. The answer to being able to protect life & property. Firearms. The main reason someone may be able to survive an attack and be able to go home in one piece. Get the message. This is the USA. We have the right to bear arms!
