My 21 year old nephrew was just killed by a 20 year old boy who left an altercation with my nephrew's friend and he came back with a gun and shoot my nephrew in the back. How was a 20 year old boy able to get a loaded gun that fast. This happens every day in some neighborhoods. It will continue to happen until the law makers children are killed. There should be no guns allowed accept you are fighting a war. I dont understand why anyone should need a gun. Someone is deliberately putting these guns in poor neighborhoods to make them accessible to these stupid kids to make them feel like they have guts and balls. But they have neither and they do not have sense enough to know that the intent is for them to commit genocide. Something needs to be done.

Sorry to hear about your nephew. BUT I have heard of several cases where someone who had a gun protected themselves from a murdering thief. Criminals will always have guns. To keep them from causing problems is to remove them from society. People should have the right to protect themselve fairly.

Gun bans do not work.

Criminals don't obey the law. Guns aren't the only tools capable of inflicting serious bodily harm or death. So even if by magic, guns wouldn't be used by criminals. The stats are just transferred to another tool.

It puts victims at greater risk from their attackers, by denying them the most effective means to protect themselves.

The 2nd Amendment enumerates our natural right to defense. A gun ban, violates that right.

People kill people. Guns or not, criminals will always be out to do others harm. Banning guns is curing the symptom, not solving the problem.

I too am very sorry to hear about your nephew.

But as Guessing said and you've heard thousands of times before and you will hear the FACT millions of more times, criminals will ALWAYS have access to guns.

This 20 year punk got into a scuffle with your nephew's friend and obviously got the worst of it his share of embarrassment and felt he needed a share of gutless payback. And now I will guess he is being rewarded with free clothing, food and shelter for the next 20 years. The usual crap our 200 year old justice system has proved is is a failure.

Had this brat known he would have ONE trial that would happen inside ONE week and if found guilty he would be assassinated by hanging, guillotine, electric chair or shooting squad (and he would not know how until the last minute until he was left standing with a blindfold, standing with a hood and rope around his neck, laying down, or sitting down), I will put my money down he would have thought twice before picking up that gun.

But...but...it's illegal for a 20-year old to possess a handgun anyway. And if he couldn't have a permit for it (and NY is stupidly restrictive on that), how could he have gotten a handgun?? I'm so confused!

Oh, I remember why. Criminals don't care about laws. Ban guns, and you criminalize good people who believe they should be able to protect themselves and their families.

If you would like to ban guns I encourage you to put a sign in your window saying you support the ban, and you have a gun free house. That way the criminals know what house in your gated community to stop and rob. When the rules are followed guns do not kill people. ......except those who are a threat to life.

Sorry for your loss but guns dont kill people, people kill people.
Attaching emotional significance to fuel a point of view is irrational.

These nuts that like to shoot up schools, prefer "GUN FREE ZONES". Do you think that they would try it if the teacher or pilot had guns? How meny GUN SHOPS have you heard of being held up?

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aquarius

There simply aren't enough hours in the day today for you to do everything that's on your list, so concentrate on the priorities. Don't feel guilty about what's been left out and start to worry about it. This isn't an easy day because you're feeling pressured and anxious, so don't expect too much from yourself. There's less energy than usual, which doesn't help.
