Gun Control Debate - Fort Pierre, SD

Why a ban? Would it be so only the lawbreakers would have the guns and the law abiders would not? Want a ban? Move to Hitler's Germany or a communist country. They will protect you.

Ban NO!!!!, registration yes. When a criminal is caught with a stolen gun or filed off numbers, there shold be an automatic ten years tacked on his time. Yeah,yeah,yeah, we'll hear a round of verbal vomit about gun registration and the commies marching down main street taking away guns but stolen guns are used in most crimes. Same with hunting rifles, so many are stolen and are being used to hunt but the game wardens don't have a field system yet to check numbers yet. Parents are so naive and don't question where the nice shotguns and rifles came from when the kid lives at home and doesn't have a job. Got 'em from a "friend", Right.

No to registration. Registration begets confiscation.
Do you have numbers to support how many crimes were solved using gun registration?

So what good did registering them do????? If the crimes were committed by people other than the registrar the registration didn't amount to squat!

And you have numbers and cites to support that? Interviews with the parents perhaps?
