No. I absolutely would not support a handgun ban.

No, as a matter of fact, everyone should be required to own a gun. I guarantee crime would all but disappear in this country! sure, there would be idiots, just like there are idiots now. But robbery, rape, burglary, simple assault cases would all be drastically reduced!
If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will own guns! |

GOD given American right. Want a real revolution, try to take AMERICAN'S guns away from them. How insane is that, only criminals would be armed. Like they say ...from my dead cold hand. Have we lost our minds in America that someone would even suggest. Give me a break.

if guns are banned then only the criminals will have the guns, or the previous law abiding citizen will have to turn into a criminal, by law, to protect themselves. police response is slow, and the constitution gives us the right to bear arms, and it was intended in order to protect us from all enemies both foreign and domestic, for fear that one day our government will follow Hitlers rule book and then where would we be, enemies exists within our society, not necessarily foreign every time.

Should we take handguns away from law-abiding citizens?
That just seems like a stupid question to me. No support here. |

I have my weapons for use on the evil garbage who doesn't think I need them.
Don't understand? Start here: http://willowtown.com/reality/blacksburg.htm and here: http://willowtown.com/promo/quotes.htm |

Well, its already happen, days after Katrina guns were taken by force if necessary from citizens. Did any shoot the takers? No. Since those taking were under the guise of "law enforcement" being various kinds including hired Blackwater Inc. mercenaries. All under the watch of a " conservative" president. Under pressure some firearms were returned, who knows how many not? It is all simply a matter of term use. Martial law, public safety, suspicion of crime, just a matter of how government thinks. You BTW, are no longer part of that governance.Would you shoot back if ordered by some act to turn over your firearms, or comply? |
|
Not sure how I would of reacted after my government turned their backs on the people in the state in which I lived. That was some sad treatment of those in need. I probably would of had to be in the situation to know how I would react. I might not of trusted anyone and certainly not anyone from Blackwater. I might have thought my life was in danger and not sure if they were law enforcement and unloaded on anyone trying to take my legally owned weapons. Why should law abiding citizens be stripped of their rights under the constitution? That is all bullshit political propaganda anyway. So John, what would you have done? |
|
What my early American family would have done- refused. Do or die, what is the difference serving in the military dying or standing by the Constitution dying? No difference in my thinking. |

That is exactly right, I have been saying that for years...Look at St. Louis. I will never stop carrying my handguns, even if there is a ban. I would rather go to jail than have some punk ass kid or crackhead rob and shoot me |
Totally agree with you and the Kentucky man below. However, I don't see that happening in this country no matter who is in the White House and Congress. I see our wounded warriors and the Veteran's Cemeteries filling up around the country everyday and they did not die in vain defending the United States and our Constitution. We have the right to bear arms and protect ourselves, our families, our property and our country at any given moment. Let someone just try to change that. |

Handguns are too available for kids who believe they are toys and end up killing others. Also, too many children, after watching TV programs do not realize that death is truly FINAL, but think the person who has been shot will come back to them for the next "show".

That is exactly why at the age of 7 my son has taken a gun safety class. One of the first things he was taught is that guns were made for one reason and that is to kill. period. Then after that he was asked about death, which because I have never shielded him from a funeral he understands that death means that person does not return. The trainer Don Martin who also trains concealed weapons courses taught my child not only the mental safety but my child can unload a magazine, check the chamber, knows what to do if he stumbles on a gun in a park, school etc. I agree our children are exposed to way to much at a age the minds are unable to fully digest the information, however if us as parents take it upon ourselves they can be taught the difference. In my opinion there are no toy guns. We treat them all real and I <3 my gun rights! |

This is why adults are responsible for their children. Gun or toxic cleaner under the sink, both are the responsibility of a parent to keep from children. Reality of cause and effect should be taught by the parent, not the TV. |

No!!! We have the right to protect ourselfs, and out homes!!!
|
|
Parents teach them different. |
|
|
What ban handguns so we can not protect ourselves, the criminals would still find a way to get there hands on one. That would make it unfair.
