Handguns are needed in the Charleston area (especially N. Charleston) because of all the black criminals and what the local justice system does not do to them. One must learn to protect themselves because the cops and courts sure won't!!!!!!!!!!

NO, because government is under no obligation to protect me, I alone am ultimately responsible for my personal safety.

There is an old saying and it's one of my favorites. i have said it many times.

When GUNS are OUTLAWED only OUTLAWS will have GUNS

I heard this from a cop

If only cops are allowed to have guns you will only have bad cops with guns.

The Constitution doesn't give us any rights. Your rights are endowed by no man, you already have them. The Constitution tells the gov't what they can not do.

crimanals are crimanals for a reason. If they are going to do somthing wrong a law wont stop them. Why take the power to protect ones self out of there own hands.

The simplest means for a 110 lb granny to level the playing (robbing) field with a 250 lb brute. Why ban any tool?

A handgun is the one thing that can equalize a 70 year old vs. a 6'3, 225 lb attacker. Why would anyone oppose self defense? If we ban them, then only criminals will have them.

Of course we need guns in our lives. The police and the courts will not protect us so we must do so ourselves. Bring back the instant death penalty and we wouldn't need guns.

Should be mandated that everyne own and carry. Imagine the robbers going into the bank being fired upon by 20 customers inside.

Just joking. There would be problems, but I bet there would be a lot fewer being so willing to try.

Banning handguns is not only stupid it will not work, look at citys like san francisco. Some thug tries to rob me with a knife or a gun I will defend myself with deadly force. I am not a ninja so hand to hand combat is not a option I will just ise my glock it is point and click!

The possession of arms by the people is the ultimate warrant that government governs only with the consent of the governed. Virtually never are murderers the ordinary, law-abiding people against whom gun bans are aimed. Almost without exception, murderers are extreme aberrants with lifelong histories of crime, substance abuse, psychopathology, mental retardation and/or irrational violence against those around them, as well as other hazardous behavior, e.g., automobile and gun accidents. You know why there's a Second Amendment? In case the government fails to follow the first one.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Virgo

You're feeling restless and need to introduce as much variety into your day as possible. However, you'll want this to be on your own terms, and you certainly won't like it if plans are changed without your consent or you feel you've lost control of the situation. Try to take everything in your stride, otherwise you'll end up feeling exhausted and frazzled.
