Statistics have shown that major crime goes DOWN when the citizens are armed and ready to protect themselves and their family.

Guns are the only thing standing between good law biding citizens & an opressive government, or to protect our families from would be criminals.

I'd rather not have most people that carry their weapons around on them. Just an accident waiting to happen and there are too many stupid people out there who just want to intimidate other people. Look at motorcyles. Nicest guy on the block until he gets on a motorcycle. Then he has to dress up all in leathers to look tough. Same mentality. Can't just wear a regular helmet. Must wear skull and cross-bones. But if a person can't take care of oneself, I guess they need something.

Do you have any cites to back up your assertion? anon wrote: Look at motorcyles. Nicest guy on the block until he gets on a motorcycle. Then he has to dress up all in leathers to look tough. Same mentality. Oh, so guns and motorcycles have some mystical power over us. anon wrote: Can't just wear a regular helmet. Must wear skull and cross-bones.. So as a freedom bigot you'd rather they fall in line to what you say they should wear. Duly noted.

Ummm...ever think that the leathers bikers wear are to ease injuries, like road-rash, should some dunce in a car hit them while they are on a motorcycle? And I rarely see the local bikers wearing "skull and crossbone" helmets. I've seen a lot of bikers do charity rides, participate in the Patriot Guard, etc. Never hear any comments about that. And for the record, I do not own a bike, nor do I plan to in the future. I just know a lot of those "nicest guy on the block" types.

Owning a gun is a right under our consitution and that right will never change unless someone finds a way to change it. NEVER!
