Gun Control Debate - Branson, MO

Why the Hell should we as law abiding citizens give up are right to keep and bear arms just to make a few candy -asses feel better ! What we need is to be able give up the rights of all politicans that go against the Constitution !

Defend ourselves from criminals and put food on our table.

Who is giving up the right to keep and bear arms? First I've heard of it.

We can't even enforce the laws against drugs, what makes anyone ever think that a law would rid us of guns? So why make all law abiding citizens give up their guns leaving only the criminals with possesion of them?

A law prohibiting the possesion of handguns would be about as effective as the laws against the weed the proponants of it are smoking.

So what law has been proposed that would deprive us of "are" 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms? Who proposed it? is it a state or federal proposal? What are you even talking about?

I oppose a ban on hand guns. The crininals willm always be able to get them. When someone breaks into our home, we have the right to protect ourselves. It is every american's right to have a gun!

we need our guns to take our crooked governments ,both local and federal back!!

So who says you can't have guns?

you take our guns away. the criminal will know you are not armed. they will have their guns and kill you. the sherrif or police wont rush to help.

As anyone paying attention can easily see, the Gun Debate posting is a Topix Nationwide thread. Not started by anyone here.

There are so many guns in the hands of American's now, that any ' ban ' would be laughable. Only the liberal idiots would surrender theirs ( humm, not a bad idea actually ). The power hungry, nervous politicians that would seek to disarm the law abiding populace WILL go after the ammunition; re-loading equipment, powder, bullets, primers, components, etc. in their attempts to control guns. IE: " cop killer bullets " and rifles that LOOK like military arms - ooooooh, scary!

For without ammunition - your guns are just very expensive ...clubs.

I have to agree with you, they will not go after the guns, they will go after the Ammo.
Thing is, if they do, I'll be one rich guy, I make my own Brass, Primers, and bullets, and I even know how to make my own smokeless powder, so if the Government wants to ban Ammo, I'll fire up my machines, stamp out some brass and mix some powder.

Of Course they may end up making Machine Shops illegal.

The secret that the politicians KNOW is - if they ever go too far - we will drag their azzes out in the street and put a bullet through their head.

I had a handgun even before it was legal and no one ever tried to take it away. This Topix was started by a republican to get their people to the polls. No subject is off the list when it comes to politicians getting their radical base to vote... most people have guns and even when it was illegal, most people still had guns. No one is going to take YOUR gun...now YOUR bazooka is a whole nuther matter!

Are you claiming you owned a Handgun over 200 years ago ?, or are you some kind of time traveler, or just plain nuts.

BTW, give me one bit of evidence that Gun control has ever worked, except in Nazi Germany ?, you won't because you can't, every known western nation that has banned Guns have seen increases in gun crimes.
