Okay Kendra and Lucy. You want to go to extremes, you want people to be able to marry their house, car or dog? That is fine by me as long as you can show that those entities have expressed consent for said marriage. Marriage is an institution that must be consented to. If you can get your neighbors rhododendron to consent, you can marry it. Until that time, I recommend we stick to non related humans being married. The reason I state non related is due to the physical and medical issues surrounding inbreeding. This is a topic you should both be intimately familiar with.
If you wish to rewrite the definition of marriage to include people it never was intended to include, then be fair about it. My position is simple. Anybody should be allow to marry whatever or whomever they choose. Why do you get to discriminate against others? How does it effect you? Consent is only required by another human. Consent is not required by an object or an animal, they are property. By simple example, cows are not required to give their consent prior to being slaughtered for food. By the same token, pets are not required to give their consent before being euthanized. The rhododendron doesn’t need to give consent to be cut down or burnt. Why would marriage be any different? You state “non related humans”. I would ask, what physical or medical issues result from being married? It has been repeatedly stated in previous post that this is not a discussion about sex. You seem to be having a problem comprehending this concept. You are for homosexual marriage, not marriage equality. You don’t have to be married to have inbreeding.

Hate to burst your homophobic bubble but there are several States that do allow same sex marriage. How does it feel to be a bigot and stupid all at the same time?

They already do. Everyone has the right to marry whomever they want as long as they are not the same sex.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Libra

Going shopping today? Then don't be surprised if you splash out on items that are that little bit different from your usual purchases. For instance, if you set off for the supermarket you might end up buying lots of exotic ingredients so you can experiment with them. This is unlikely to get out of hand unless you're feeling bored or fed up, in which case you'll want to spend your way out of your current mood.
