Homosexuality is natural. It can't be controlled and doesn't cause any harm to anyone. What reason is there to outlaw or oppress gays? They're people, just like everyone else.

Marriage stopped being about religion when it became a legal issue.

Love is love. Why does it matter what gender you are, and who you're with? did we vote on your marriage? No? Alright then- stay out of ours. I see straight couple marriages failing far more than 'gay' marriages. You'd think with being able to marry, so many people would cherish the idea of matrimony. No- you don't cherish it until you realize you can't have it because ignorant people like everyone opposing love are taking the one true happiness away from others...who says it's right to be straight?

You should be able to marry who you love and nobody should be able to tell you otherwise.

Love is love. I don't care who you are attracted to, you deserve to be somebodies wife or husband.

While it should not necessarily be called 'marriage' (because of 101 reasons, though that is a mild exaggeration), everyone should be allowed to declare their love in front of their loved ones without prejudice and receive the same benefits from the government whether they are gay, lesbian, bi, transgender etc. Regulating this is a disgrace.

Free wrote: because its against the word of God. we do it cause we have no respect for Gods law and the Bible. So let it be called something else. As 'marriage' is defined by the bible as a union between a 'man and a woman' it makes sense that the word marriage be unincluded from a homosexual bonding, simply by the measures of 'separation of church and state'(though marriage itself does somewhat cross the line as is). Remember, it is also against the laws of God and the bible to wear polyester-cotton blends, to have pre-marital sex, and many other things, yet these are not political debates. If you follow every word in the bible, then you may judge. But then you would be a shell of a human being.

I'm young but i'm bisexual. When i'm older, I want to be able to get married to whomever I want without it being anyone else's problem. Being happy is the most important thing. Not exactly the "word of god".

Because everybody has a right to marriage. The church doesn't have to consent that's their problem, but legally speaking everybody should be able to.

Who are we to tell people who they can and cannot be in love with? Love is love. Regardless of gender, race, etc.

i support gay marriage because all men and women should be treated equally despite their differences. we are all human and deserve to be treated with respect.
