Why can't gays and lesbian be given the opportunity to be just as miserable as straight couples?

In history, they used to look at a certain roman emperor and say, Ew, he's weird.. how can he only like women and not men. It is not unnatural for anything in nature to love deeply another of the same sex. Also by continuing to deny gays marriage rights, you take away their humanity, and as a country, you take away the idea of freedom. Many European COUNTRIES not parts of countries, but the entire nation, have legalized gay marriage. Why can't the United States?

Can anyone actually give an honest reason why it shouldn't be allowed? In the words of a friend, "If it's a choice, try and choose it. Can you? No? Huh, that doesn't seem much like a choice..." It's not "unnatural" or "against the word of god." If you actually read the bible, you'd know that GOD is supposed to judge, not you. Those who judge others are effectively posing as "god" in order to sentence their fellow men to a living hell, often using God as their reason when this is completely wrong!

I want to be able to grow up and, whether I marry a man or woman, honor them with our marriage. I want the next generation to know that being gay, lesbian, trans, bi, pan, etc., isn't bad. We all deserve love and the basic right to marry! Sorry that us fags want to have a job, a house, a lasting marriage, and adopt the beautiful children others leave out like wet-lock garbage. Sorry, until we have this right, America isn't living up to it's standards and potential. Marriage equality isn't really a decree or a law, it's a human right.

Love's love. Would their marriage take anything away from you? No. So leave em to it.

Love is love. Why does it have to be straight couples only...that's just stupid.

Marriage is a right. It says in our Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal. Doesn't that mean we all get the same rights?

Love who you want to love, not who society tells you to love, plain and simple.
