I have never seen a happy H O M O!..They are mean,act like their alittle crazy.I worked around a few Lezbo's and their relationship was not based on L O V E !.It was more like property ,and there partner was their possession.One couple I remember would make grunting noises across the production floor to each other.Every now and then ,the same partner would come to work with black eye's and bruises.When asked what happened to her,she would say that she deserved them...Another Gay couple I knew,who were also very violent in their gay love for each other, had to be police escorted from the work place,because one of the Lezbo's girlfriend was talking to,the opposite sex!!!!....but then aqain, she was beaten for talking to another G I R L TOO!.All I can say purely from observation with these sodomites,is that they are very violent, and very Q U E E R!!!!!....

I still don't get what the legal issue is with this... Religous issues with this I can certainly understand, but what does religion have to do with the legality of two consensual adults doing as they please? The marriage ceremony, while having its bases in religion is little more than a legal contract to begin with... Didn't it used to be the kind of system where two guys would come together and one would say "Hey. Provide me with food, animals, or some kind of service and I'll let you marry my daughter." and then the daughter is whisked away from her family PRAYING that her new husband isn't abusive, a deadbeat, or both? It's just a contract, except now it's signed by both consenting adults and instead of being part of a trade it's more of a sharing agreement. Of course I believe love is necessary for a truly successful marriage, not just a willingness to share or cooperate. Yes there are religious aspects to the ceremonies, which would make it a bit difficult for a gay wedding to take place since they'd have to find the person with the authority willing to marry them, but as far as government and the legalities are concerned, what possible reason is there to say no? I've been asking this and no one has given me a proper answer... the best I've heard is that "slippery slope theory" of it leading to people marrying dogs and inanimate objects, and child molestation suddenly being legal... To which I say, WHY ON EARTH would we consider a dog OR and inanimate object the same as a consensual human adult, and how is a child a consensual adult? There are PLENTY of good reasons to keep things like that from happening.

Although if for some oddball reason those things come to pass, my bet would be on the marrying pets thing happening first, since lately it almost feels like our pets have just as many if not more rights through our government than our kids do lol. You just can't list your puppy Scruffy as a dependent, that's about the only thing kids have over pets. XD

Actually there is no religous aspect to getting married. If there was only people of the cloth could do the deed. As I am sure you are aware, judges, justices of the peace (in some states) and Captains of ships (certain distance off shore) can marry people. Technically speaking, once the marriage license is signed (contract) you are married. It is a legal binding contract signed by both parties. The "cerimony" is really just that.
Now if you want to involve the church, that is not an issue either. There are many churches and Christian denominations who have no issue with ssm and will perform the cerimony.

You mention re the infamous "it will lead to people marrying their dog" fallacious argument. The thing people who use this argument do not recognize, or do not want to recognize, is that in order for the contract to be valid, both parties must give verbal and written consent (say I do an sign the license if you will). Now IF and WHEN someone can find a animal to give consent, this will be an issue... until then......
