A gay couple getting married won't destroy the sanctity of my marriage at all. It won't cause me to love my children any less.

Who am I to begrudge another human being the love they come to find with another? It says in the bible "love your neighbor as yourself". So if I want a joyful and fulfilling life, then that is what I should want for my neighbor, whatever that means for him.

Two athiets can go to the Justice of The Peace and have a civil marriage performed with NO MENTION OF GOD and be granted ALL the benefits of marriage. Over 150 federal benefits afforded married couples regardless of faith beliefs. This is why its called a civil marriage.

A gay couple can go to a Church for a religious marriage yet receive no civil benefits. Many mainstream Christian denominations support marriage equality and offer religious marriages yet don't have the right to offer civil marriage or it's benefits.

Marriage Equality is about allowing all couples to have equal protection and benefits in civil matters. It has nothing to do with on faith denomination beliefs over another.

Marrige, between man and woman or man and man, is a privilege, not a RiGHT. Being gay is a lifestyle, not a right. Quit twisting the truth to make gay agendas seem more human or right and say what it really is. You (gay and les) want attention, you want people to validate your alive. You want to twist the younger generation to 'honor' you. It won't happen, grow up, straighten up, and quit twisting the laws of this great Nation so you can feel better about your perverse lifestyle.

The God I serve is fair, You aparrently adore the unfair god. "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for we are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3.28. Love knows no ethnicity, status, nor gender. Yet bigoted people have insulted God for thousnads of years trying to oppose marriages based on these three things. True marriage is based on love. God is love. God is no respecter of persons. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. The words of God are not twisted as your comment is. Gay marriage should be legal for adults. All kinds of people have lifestyles. Your lifestyle needs love.

It is an inherent right. To suggest it is not a right, but a reward to all those who are straight would be ignorant. The government is to protect the people, not to reward certain behaviors.

Gay American citizens are still American citizens. The type of intimate connection they have with another person has no bearing on whether they should have the right to enjoy both the benefits and the responsibilities of a legally recognized union.

I personally don't care who another person lays with. If it doesn't bring suffering, or take away from the quality of anyone's life then so what? Being gay happens. It's a part of life that some people will manifest that quality. It's not good, and it's not bad. It just is what it is. Live with it.

There are plenty of things we don't like in the world. But we live with them. The smart folks learn to understand and accept that life brings what it brings. The only things we can change are the things we screw up. And what's screwed up, is our perception of our lives.
