My main feeling is that if gay people want to get married and go through the expesses of a wedding and possiby a divorce. It would just be more money in the pockets of NJ

"My main feeling is that if gay people want to get married and go through the expesses of a wedding and possiby a divorce. It would just be more money in the pockets of NJ" So, if a gay person gets married and later on wants a divorce, its would cost too much for New Jersey. Now lets change this gay person to a straight one. That straight person gets married and then wants a divorce- its still costing money for New Jersey. Maybe people should even get married so there wouldn't be divorces! I mean, it does cost money.

What everyone is forgetting is the topic of marriage. Not divorce or religion. America already has a high divorce rate with heterosexuals, gay marriage has nothing to do with that and divorce should not be in thought when thinking about marriage. Religion should not have any force in how laws are made and one of first objections to gay marriage is on the basis of religion. "Separation of Church and State". People are being denied rights because of some fear created. We are human beings that only want the rights we deserve as human beings living in the United States.

Marriage is the joining of two people in love. It's called marriage not straight marriage or heterosexual marriage so I see no difference if the two people in love are of the same or different sexes.

Give everyone equal rights. Religion does not belong in government, voting no is a sign of ignorance.
