Everyone has the right to do what they want to do. The issue is: what governmental status or benefits are given to homosexual couples.

We live in a world in which it's somehow cool to be gay. Well, people can live and behave however they want to. The question which few have answers to is: what governmental status or benefits should be given to homosexual couples. Homosexual individuals have all of the rights as anyone else. The key issue is what status is given to couples where both people are the same sex.

It's my religious belief.
I think same sex unions should be just that, civil unions.

Gays don't have the same rights. No one is asking you to go to our weddings or send a gift, just let us marry who we love.

Of course with the deficit, two wars, recession, border security, immigration, and Iran, GAY MARRIAGE is the most dangerous thing to America. Nothing bad has happened to the 10 countries tht already legalized it except increased tourism.

Sonny you have a good Democrat president with strong Democrat majorities in Congress to deal with all the issues you mention. Even if you want to blame Bush for them, a good Democrat is now in charge to clean up the mess.

We are a country of equality. They have a right to have the same benefits as straight. And et's face it, the divorce lawyers are probably hoping for it to pass. Although I know many gay couples that have been together 25 years or more.

If marriage is so sacred as the opponents believe then why are they not outraged by a 50%+ divorce rate? Additionally, if they consider procreation as the main reason for marriage then they should demand annulments of all childless couples. Their arguments are ridiculous and don't hold water and are simply an attempt to cover their bigotry.

News Flash: They cant consent to marriage dumbass

All humans deserve equality, horses or pets are not human and do not pay taxes. Our world can always use more love. Pets should not be owned, but we should be their guardians. I think gay men and women,etc, could teach many people about unconditional love and acceptance, understanding aside. These are true Christian ideals.

Every couple should have the right to make and support important and life changing decisions for each other. It's not right when one person dies after a life-long commitment and the partner is thrown out of the home & life they built together by opposing family members. Intimacy also brings knowledge of how the other person wants their final wishes followed through. Monies to continue supporting the surviving partner should be available. This can only be done through our laws.

equal right for ALL. That would be all people. If you don't want a gay marriage don't have one.
