What about the actual fact, Patty, that some of us have never told any lies on this site? That is the case, for me, at least. If I have lied, I was not aware I had done it. Lying is telling an untruth when you know it is untrue, and usually meant to deceive others. I have no reason to deceive others here - so far.

I see nothing wrong with not exposing your real identity, which my name here doesn't expose me, though I have probably disclosed enough about myself that anyone with a minimum of knowledge could like figure out who I really am. What I find wrong is lying about being two different aliases, while you, at the same time, accuse others of lying, who state that you are (and actually are) the same person.

There are 101 ways you could have got out of being caught as both people, rather than just calling others liars, but you chose, what in your rules, would be one of the most heinous sins imaginable, to lie.

Almost everything stated on this site by opponents of SSM is irrelevant to the topic of SSM. We are talking about making what is now illegal in most US states legal, which would be following what some states, and many other western countries have already done, giving, finally, equal rights to humans that just happened to be homosexuals, that all other humans have now.

Since gay marriages normally do not enter the bedrooms of heterosexuals, it really has nothing to do with heterosexual marriage. The only relevant issue, actually, is whether gays should be accorded the same rights of inheritance, and survivorship that other couples have.

It is a legal, monetary thing. Likely those opposing it at the government levels are more concerned about giving equal monetary rights to another group of people, than they are about what some ancient books states.

In the USA, if the Constitutional rights were to be taken seriously in all issues, then this should never have become an issue, but should have always been a right. Gays have cohabited, and/or had sex with each other since the beginning of human beings.

All they are asking for now, is to have people stop persecuting and discriminating against them, using something about them that differs from the majority as an excuse.
