If a man and a dog can marry, but a man and a man can't, then something is wrong.

To oppose gay marriage is discrimination. How would you feel if you were unable to marry the one you love? Either marriage should be available to all, or banned completely.

No where in the Bible does it say homosexuality is a sin. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah was most likely a story of the general indecency of the cities, not their supposed homosexual acts. If you want to tote the Bible card, you also support the stoning of an unfaithful woman or the mixing of different types of fabrics.(Check your t-shirt, I bet it's 50% cotton/50% polyester). I'm gay and I've gone to Catholic school my whole life. Although there is general hostility towards gays within the Church, I have never been taught in school that homosexuality is an abomination. I still disagree with the Church in saying that "succumbing to homosexual urges" is sinful; it's only natural when love happens, which it DOES between homosexual individuals. However, any biblical argument does not hold any weight in the topic of gay marriage. There is just nothing in the bible to support bigoted opinions. Call me biased because I'm gay, but I thought the Christian God and Jesus taught us to love one another regardless of what kind of people we are. Or was the lesson actually "Love everyone but the homosexuals"? Give me a break. It's only right that gay marriage should be legal.

I finally feel comfortable with myself when I accepted who I was, I'm a lesbian and proud of it. No one take it away from me, I just hope they'll let me live as they live. What's the hurt in that!?

i believe that everyone should have the right to marry whom they love and cherish. simple as that, but no matter what people are going to disagree and ive heard so many arguments about gay marriage that were used back when interracial marriage was being fought for. siiigh

Maybe marriage between a man and a woman is code for bullish_t. By evidence maybe those opposed want something better for their gay friends than marriage on the speculation it will become as worthless as it is for hetros. These are the biggest bull shit statistics I've ever read in my life. 90% of people are going to end up divorced? LOL. No. If you're going to make stuff up, make sure it's somewhat believable, for crying out loud. 5% of gay marriages will end in divorce because there's how many gay couples that are legally married in this country? Right. And how long have they been legally allowed to get married (in only certain states, where straight's can get married wherever they please)? Right. There are simply not an equal amount of gay and straight marriages to gather comparable statistics. We're talking about thousands of gay marriages to millions and millions of straight ones. You are a gigantic moron and need to get off the internet. Let it be known, I am FOR gay marriage, but I am against people being idiots and making numbers up to try and seem intelligent.

Didnt listen too well in catholic school now did ya? Oh, I listened plenty, and it made me realize that, like any religious institution, Christianity too has its flaws because the Bible was written by HUMANS thousands of years ago. I still consider myself Catholic, and Catholics do not believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible, as it was written in a time of very very different social situations. In high school, I learned to read the Bible in a historical context with critical analysis. A literal interpretation of the Bible cannot possibly be applicable to our time now when we DON'T stone women and we DON'T stone each other for eating shellfish, which your precious Leviticus also mentions. Do you like shrimp? Oh, sorry, it's an abomination to eat. And to those who think being gay is a choice? It's not. Why would I ever choose to be ridiculed? NO ONE wants to be marginalized. But at the same time, I wouldn't have it any other way. If this is how I'm meant to be, than so be it; I don't want anything else. How many gay people is it going to take for God to tell us he doesn't want us around? If we're still here, then maybe God actually wants us around. God loves all and shows mercy to all, not just straight, white-bred America. In the end, love will prevail over hatred. Now THAT is the true Christian message.

Sexuality is not a privilege. It's a right. Who are we to take someones rights away from people? We're all human. Therefore we all should be treated equal.

Love is Love. Don't like gay marriage? Don't get one. It's really that simple.

Just gotta say that what two people do in their home is their business. Not mine, or yours. It is a sick mind that thinks about what others are doing in bed.

Please wait...
If it doesn't effect you in the slightest, Whats the point in saying no to it. It doesn't mean you have to turn gay. It just gives two people who love each other the right to marry. And another bonus it makes them less likely to hit on you.

I wish all the people who carry on against homosexuality would just take some time to try "choose" to be one. You can't choose sexual orientation. I'm all for equal rights for everyone. A company should provide benefits to ALL empoyees and families or to none. No one should be denied the right to be their loved ones irregardless of whether they are married or not. I'm pretty sure if gays lied and said they were married to be with a loved one who is dying the powers that be would ask for proof. People who are happy are better friends, employees and neighbors. It doesn't matter who they are or what they believe.
