Gay Marriage Debate - Post Falls, ID

Anyone who opposes the idea obviously doesn't understand freedom. How about we take away heterosexual marriage? IT'S POISONING THE CHILDREN.

I, myself, am gay and love to get married someday.

This is the land of the free isnt it? I believe everyone has a right to the pursuit of happiness as long as it harms no one else. Gay marriage harms absolutly no one and benifits the comunity

think is up to the person. thery sex perfact is up to each person, as long they do not push it mon me. it is personal.

Love is love is does not see color race religion disabilities sex orientation etc. Everyone judges but isn't that a sin? Gays don't harm anyone people do and if everyone would stop judging and accept people for who they are not anything else this world may be a more peaceful place.

Look up the definition. It is a union between a man and a woman...for the purpose of pro creation...(having babies)...those who do not believe in this union, homo or hetero, should not partake! MAN and WOMAN! People live together all the time because they do not believe in this union...homosexuality and marriage is in and of itself a contradiction!!!!! It is like trying to re-define what 2+2 is. It is 4 no matter how many people say or want it to be 5! Marriage is and always will be between man and woman. Homosexuals need to come up with their own "union", not distorting the truth and changing the very definition of the word to meet their needs! The word marriage in the working world also refers to "male and female unions" ...hoses, pipes and connections of all sorts. 2+2=4...marriage=male and female. SIMPLE! keep it that way. Homosexuals are "FREE" to start their own special "union". Make up their own "common laws" as the heterosexuals have had to do because they did not agree with the traditional/legal meaning of the word marriage! Why do the homosexuals get to have reverse discrimination????

The heterosexuals who don't want or like the idea of marriage just live together and deal with the "common law" aspect...It's you who doesn't understand "freedom". You just made up that definition.Gay marriage has been around for thousands of years and now you want to make up your own definition of marriage?There is a special place in hell for liars like yourself.

Every human is free to live their own life. Its completely their decision on what they do when it comes to love and marriage. Any kind of law should not be enforced on these things.

God is the one who defined marriage,not man.And according to God,marriage is between man and woman.Now I know people like to "fit in" and keep up with the times,But Gods word doesn't have an experation date.The only reason Iam posting on here is because it has been put on my heart to do so.One thing I would like to remind christians who are struggeling with this issue of accepting the"Norm -it's ok to be gay"theory...Sodom and gommorah for the most part chose to ignore Gods word as well.Everyone in those towns,except for the ones who obeyed Gods laws,were destroyed.Don't let yourselves be brainwashed brothers and sisters-The Bible says it is not ok to be gay in Gods eyes..Nobody ever said serving God was going to be easy,Easy is not the road less traveled.

Because love is blind. Why shouldn't homosexuals be given on option to become better supporters of the community? It's been proven that married couples have more stable home dynamic, and stability in the home supports stability in the community. They live here, and they aren't going away. Why not let them help us out?

All they want is to be legally recognized as being married, and not be hated for it. Say you loved someone so much, you dedicated your life to them. Sounds reasonable, right? But, because the State says that you are not legally able to form such a union, any vows you make don't really exist.

A little insulting, but your in love. It won't stop you. So, you have a little ceremony, maybe your friends are there, maybe your parents. You even found a priest with some more tollerant and open minded views. So, you feel, for all intents and purposes, you two are a married couple.

Two years go by. Your at work, and you get a call: the worst call in your life. There was an accident, trauma, bloodloss. Things are looking bad. You run to the hospital. You've never been more scared in your life.

You make it to the front desk, and as about your lover, your partner, your friend. Guess what you hear?

"Are you a family member?"

And what do you do? You lie. Not to yourself, but to the desk attendant.

"Yeah... we're siblings..."

Do you understand now? Do you understand how foolish it is to be blind to this? They'll get married, whether you say they can or not.

And what about transgendered people? I'm not talking about people who have operations, I'm talking about people with XXY or XYY chromosones. Because, they happen. They exist: they're about 35 million people on this earth. Are they allowed to marry? Because a lot of them are sterile...

Btw, for you evil little wicked fake christians, marriage was around the world in many other cultures and religions thousands of years before judiesm and christianity were even a concept.
