There is nothing wrong with it... people are just still primitive and it's in their nature to try and suppress others... we've done it since the beginning of time and will continue to do it. It'll eventually be accepted by the world, but they'll find another thing to hate on I assure you that.

That's very interesting, however this isn't the "love" discussion, it's the debate on whether we should extend the marriage franchise to homosexuals.

Would it be enough for you? Knowing that you could not move to another state because your c/u may not be recognized or if it is under that states c/u rules?
Would it be enough for you knowing that even though you are a citizen, you will not get the federal benifits offered to other citizens because you have a c/u?....

Really ... why....
Tell me since marriage is a binding legal contract, why should two u.s. citizens be denied the rights that come with this contract?

Remember we are not a theocracy so don't use the Bible as your reason because it has nothing to do with the law.

Also remember that just because this is the way its always been is not a correct answer. If it was women would never be allowed to vote because up untis the sufferage amendment that is the way it had always been. Also Blacks would not have the rights they do now because up until MLK that was the way it always had been.

So keeping that in mind tell us why two u.s. citizens together for 15 years who happen to be a ssc should enjoy less rights than a couple married 15 minutes

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
