Gay Marriage Debate - Newark, OH

Every human being is born equal, and being gay/bisexual/transgender is something that people are born with. They are born equal as well.

love is love is love. GENDER has absolutely nothing to do with it.

A matter of rights, and law; not one of theological opinion.

Gay couples are just like every other couple. They are committed, work, pay bills, raise children, pay taxes. They should be able to wed, have legal rights under marriage the same way heterosexual families have.

Here we are in the twenty first century and me Homo sapiens the highest form of life in the cosmos still need to chastise others to make us feel superorer? Who needs to do this? Only a person that does not have there doo doo together:) What a wonderfull world this could be with just a little of who gives a shit one way or the other:)

TOLERANCE

First off I want to say I am a Gay Republican Christian. I know who knew one existed. My grandfather was a well known preacher for 43 years. Sadly the comment that this is a Christian country is incorrect. You all have heard it its called seperation of church and state. That's why when a person is elected into office they can affirm not swear to God if they chose. That's why schools can't start with prayer. Religious preferences should not be given weight over human rights. For the people who are worried "gays will ruin marriages." Current divorce rates are over 50 percent doesn't sound like they are doing good. I think daniel tosh said best "I say to all the hardcore religious folks out there just because gays can get married doesn't mean he will let them into heaven." As for myself I beileve in God and if anybody else does I will see you in heaven. If not well I don't judge so good luck on judgement day that is what we all should think about. One final thought remember we all were made in his image...not just the straight people. love is love. if straight people want to get married they should have to go hoops to prove their love is real. no more getting a license from the courthouse and getting married in one day...you cant expect marriage to be taken serious when straight people go and marry multiple times or just get married because he knocked her up...marriage is for love not to justify the creation of life.
