1. Love is love. 2. If gay marriage ruins the "meaning" of marriage, why is heterosexual divorce allowed???

People deserve equal rights regardless of gender. Marriage isn't just a word. It's an institution with loads of benefits for opposite-gender couples over same-gender couples.

Do I really need to explain that not just the sentiment but the spousal hospital visit and other important rights are owed all human beings?

You fall in love with a person, not a gender.

I am not straight and I would like it to be legal to marry and have a future with someone I love, whether they are male, female or identify with anything in-between. We should have the same rights as straight married couples do. That shouldn't change just because we are of the same sex, or identify as something different. It's still love, when you get down to it.

If two people love each other, they should be able to get married. It's really quite simple. It's not that damn hard to understand. Stop suppressing people's lives because you can't deal with something you don't understand. I will support gay marriage wholeheartedly until this country is rid of its idiotic laws based in the beliefs of old bigots who think they can tell others how to live their lives.

No, her argument makes perfect sense if you have the intellectual capabilities to recognize its merits. Let me see if I can dumb it down for you. She said that how can gay people decrease the value of marriage any more than people that get married just for the hell of it, knowing that they can "Undo" it later.

She said that how can gay people decrease the value of marriage any more than people that get married just for the hell of it, knowing that they can "Undo" it later. IF marriage is so "cheap" and trivial, then why do they want it so badly? :)

for thousands of years marriage has been defined as a union shared between a man and a woman, and it should remain so.
