it's simple: the attempts to ban gay marriage are all led by religious sects. This country, founded on freedom, is not a theocracy. Homosexuals are human, and thus deserve the same rights as everyone else. The very fact that this even needs to be debated is disgusting.

I have no right to tell anyone who they should or should not love. Of course I support gay marriage, it's ridiculous you have to ask.

I'm a 20 year old lesbian and I want the same rights as my family and friends. I believe in integrity, there for I should be rewarded

It's a tough one to call. I don't really care, either way.

Amen to that! If I knew how hard it was going to be 18 years ago I may have had second thoughts. I love my husband with all my heart but without PATIENCE, COMMUNICATION, KINDNESS, UNDERSTANDING and most important to me his LOYAL FRIENDSHIP every day I would have bailed a long time ago. LOVE although important is NOT what makes a marriage work, a marriage isn't a bond without LOVE.
As for gay marriage, to each his own. It is not my place to tell you who,(regardless of sexual preference) you should be married to. All marriages should be honored as such and spousal benefits should apply. After all being an American we are granted freedoms these freedoms should NEVER be compromised, gay or straight. I am so tired of watching our government wasting time on no-brainers like this when there are so many other bigger issues that they back burner for bickering over something that is just NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!
