Wondering wrote: <quoted text> I don't, the exception is homosexual material that surfaces in public elementary schools. By issues, I mean lessons and discussions. They have no place there. Neither do 'gay pride days.' I'm not aware of any school that dedicated a day to straight pride. Live your life and be as happy as you can be. Just don't be thinking it's ok to brainwash elementary school children under the guise of tolerance. So you believe we brainwash your kids into accepting us? Why is it wrong if the future generations are more accepting? I was in elementary school before, too, remember, and I was given things involving straight couples. Do you realize, you pick up almost any Disney movie, and you will see some sort of heterosexual relationship. The Lion King, Tarzan, Hercules, Sleeping Beauty, etc. Kids are exposed to those everyday. So what is so wrong about the exposure of gay couples, something that is becoming more and more commonly obvious in society as these years pass by? And the teachers who to help these kids find acceptance of these relationships before society infects their mind with prejudicial hatred deserve a round of applause, cause they are helping build America, and the world, into a better place. These little kids hearing about gay marriage aren't going to be overly affected by it. They won't turn gay themselves just by hearing it. Our lives aren't what turn us gay, we are born this way. If a few of them turn out to be gay when they hit puberty, guess what, they were like that before they were taught these lessons of acceptance. Kids should not be pressured into being straight, because it won't change the fact that some of us humans are interested in the same- sex. Gay relationships are becoming a part of the public now, and everyone has to accept it. Kids will be exposed to it regardless, but we don't want them to be exposed and then hate us, we want them to be accepting, and that is why they are educated about us in a place of EDUCATION. And as for gay pride days, gay parents are becoming more common as well, so the kids who have these parents tend to feel a certain pride for their parents, but embarrassment all the same, because they're confused that they have two daddies or two mommies. The education plus the pride days will allow these sons and daughters to feel happy that they have parents as loving as they do, regardless of their (the parents) sexuality. So next time you start to question the education of kids involving gay relationships, realize that these kids need to be educated, or else the world will just get more dark and depressing as prejudice grows.

James, stop and think for a moment. You, and everyone else, was created by a straight couple. It is right for a man to be with a woman. It's the way it is. 2. What is wrong with it is that most parents don't want their kids exposed to homosexual relationships. Especially not at elementary school age. 3. There is no need or benefit to emphasizing homosexuality in public elementary schools. If parents want to teach their kids about it they are free to do it at home. 4. Kids aren't pressured into being straight. There is no straight pride day in public school and there are no straight pride parades. 5. Yes, you want them brainwashed into believing that their family's values and/or religion is wrong and you are right. 6. You can have your gay pride days and gay pride parades but they don't belong in public schools. As for kids being embarrassed and confused, have you ever seen a gay pride parade? They out to just call soft porn day parade. 7. Whose world?

What the gays have is a civil union between two consenting adults. I do believe that the civil union should be recognized as a legal union and have the same benefits as a marital bond but it cannot be called a marriage. I have spoken.
