What's the difference between a civil union and marraige? Homosexuals want to force the church to accept it.

A true conservative, small government, position is that the government has no right to tell people who can and cannot enter into a marriage contract, so long as no force and no fraud has occured.

Wrong. There is no power to force a member of the clergy to perform any wedding at any time. Churches can have whatever rules they want. However, it is unconstitutional for church rules to become government rules.

NC is the bible belt....you can not do a lot of stuff because of a lot of the church.....that is why nc is the bible belt and we have the highest taxes than any other state.....there is talk that the tax is going up to 8%....thank you governor perdue for keeping the tax high for this state and taking money away for teacher that need it...were is the lotto money going,is it all going in you pocket, because we do not see it being used for the state..

noone cares if the church accepts it or performs the marriage but "seperate but equal" is not equal :-)

The chosen perversion of homosexuality is not equal to God's plan for heterosexuality and asexuality.

Homosexuality is every bit as wrong as lying, raping a child, murder, bestiality, rape, robbery, intolerance, and everything perverse and bad.

No, but gays will find a way to force churches to do it or lose their non-profit status. That is what gays are about, forcing people to pretend their filthy and pointless chosen forms of perversion are normal. It is all about them having their selfishness and "self-esteem" at everyone else's expense. America is supposed to be a place of majority rule, and most Americans still have the sense and morals to never have sex with the same sex no matter what. Civil unions are the state's way of coddling sexual perverts, while true marriage celebrates only the type of unions sanctioned by God.
