marriage is love. i see a lot of arguments about gay marriage going against the bible? none of yall are yelling that to the celebrities who marry and divorce every other week. another argument is reproducing. there is enough producing going around from heterosexuals that adoption homes are over flowing with children in need of homes. your argument is not valid.:D

The Bible itself says that Church and State should remain separate. The discrimination gays face is simply unAmerican. There is simply no reason why two people of the same gender should not be able to get married. Jews can get married, Athiests can get married, Hindus can get married... None of THOSE marriages follow the Christian doctrine, yet you don't see politicians calling THEM "immoral" or "unnatural" (homosexuality is found in every major animal species on Earth, and has even been documented in microscopic species). And before you go on about "Traditional Marriage", do you know what you're even talking about? Marriage originally meant selling your underage daughter to an old man so that she could be raped and bear children... The definition of marriage has changed so much in the course of human history, and now it's changing again! Not to mention that gay marriage has been around for thousands upon thousands of years, so in other cultures it's already traditional. If you don't like or support gay marriage, then that's really too bad for you. Look around you; the tide is already turning, There are gay people and characters all around you, even in children's cartoons, when twenty years ago they were hidden or nonexistent. The world is changing for the better, gay is no worse than straight and people are realizing that. Tomorrow looks bright.

No, I don't support it. Marriage is to be between one man and one woman. The only species that can't reproduce itself other than a homosexual/lesbian is a mule.
There are actually very many species that reproduce homosexually... and gay is not a species! And of course, the very definition of a species is something that CAN "reproduce itself" as you put so eloquently... And so what about old or infertile couples? I suppose they shouldn't be allowed to get married, either, hmmmm?
I do not oppose gay people. I would support some sort of legal status for committed gay partners. However, marriage is and has always been a bond between a man and a woman. What is being asked of society is to change the meaning of a word that has religious and moral meaning to many people. It is like using the American flag as a hand towel. It is taking something that is somewhat sacred to many, if not most people, and desecrating it in a way that mocks its very purpose. Make up your own word to define homosexual partnerships. How about "Querage" for the noun and "Queried" for the verb?
Yes, you don't want the word "marriage" to be SULLIED with those disgusting, loving relationships between two adults! "Seperate but equal"... sound familiar to you?

"Religious freedom" has never meant "using religion to deny others' freedom". It's the 21st Century already. If you're against gay marriage, you're behind the times.

not that it matters, but I feel gays are born that way. i also believe it's a trendy experiment now.
remember Doogie Houser?
i saw the other night on TV him and his "fiance"; both have dated and sexed women and have chosen each other. My husband called that one many years ago.
Anyway, they are very delightful, honest and respectable gay people just trying to make life work.

Because I am a lesbian and I'm in love with another woman and don't believe its fair that I have to travel all the way to Austin, Tx to get married when I could do it in my own city. If you love someone you love them . If people stopped judging and unstood that gay marriage have a way less divorce rate then straight. Love is love no matter what color race or gender.
