there is SUPPOSED to be separation of church and state yet the op posers quote scripture they grab to back their side. We are ALL US citizens and everyone has the RIGHT to marry whoever they choose!!!!!

America has many gays protecting our country, then we deny them the legal rights they're dying for? Everyone quotes the Bible where gay marriage is concerned but they never add the part where we've added divorce, prenumptials,legal restraints against couples living together but not married. Our version of marriage is a mockery of the version in the Bible and anyone who will run towards people shooting at them in the name of American justice, or run into a burning building to save a life or any other heroic deed then go home to their same sex lover should have the right to get married and divorced as many times as they want just like every other good Christian.

It is against the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman. Homosexuality and homosexual marriage is unScriptural.

To those who speak against us who uphold the Biblical principles: We do say things about the other issues such as divorce and "shacking up." Those things are wrong, too. But here, it is speaking specifically about homosexual marriage, and that is what the responses refer to. Why would we say something about divorce, etc. on a page asking about homosexuality? That would be ridiculous. Besides, if we wrote everything we are for or against, we would have to post countless books. LOL. As for separation of church and state, that was to keep from having a church run the government (persecution and such like) and also to keep the government from telling the church what to do or not to do. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, and thanks God for the freedom He allows our country to have.

By the way, I am from Hudson, Florida, but am currently in California attending Bible College.

Since I do not believe in your God, your biblical principals should have no effect on my life.

If you don't believe in gay marriage, fine; don't get one. But leave me and my family out of it.

I am sorry you feel that way. I am not mad at you, nor do I hate you. This page asks why we believe the way we do, not for people to get into an argument. I refuse to argue with you. If you could hear me say what I said here, you would know that I am not hateful towards homosexuals. I hate the sin, but not the one committing the sin. I commit sin, too. I just know that you will face God someday, and so will I. We will have to answer for the bad things we have done, and be praised for the good things we have done. If you don't believe in God - fine. That's your choice. I can't change your decision, nor will I try to change it. I only stated what I believe, just as you have. God still loves you even if you don't believe in Him.

Why should I have the right to decide the fate of people who love each other? Speaking an American and citizen, I find it appalling that people are so objective to the thought of what other people do in privacy. If it is a lifestyle choice, why don't you go over and choose to suck a dick. Prove it to me. This is like saying just because you don't like white bread means that nobody can have it. There is a separation of church and state for a reason and that is because the bible is what you make of it. It is not lain out in stone and one syllable, comprehensible sentencing because if it was, nobody would need to go to church and have someone else explain to them what the hell it is even talking about.

In continuation, if you are going to compare pedophiles and homosexuals, at least understand what the hell you are talking about. There is a difference between having relations with one of consensual age that just so happens to have the same junk as you and a man or woman with willingly and knowing has sexual relationships with a minor, whom are considered to not be emotional or mentally mature and comprehensive enough to consent by majority.

I'm not saying that there aren't perverted people out there who would use this as an excuse to try and get laws that will endanger citizens, because there are, but do not stereotype an entire populace as that. In reality, every type of person, regardless of gender, sexuality, race or religion can cause great sorrow to others. Don't impeach on the majority because of the few.

Plus, who is to say one sin is worse than another. They are all sins. There is no such thing as a super sin so you lying last week to your boss, parents, friends, ect. could be held accountable on the same level as adultery and murder in the eyes of God. It's his job to pass judgment onto others and him alone. You are supposed to love thy neighbor and realize that the constitution say that all men are created equally. And yes, that does include the gays in case you missed that memo.

Love is love. Regardless of age, gender, race. I don't understand why people fight so hard to try and fight something someone didn't even choose. You honestly cannot help who you fall in love with. Gay marriage is marriage.

All people
